Coming from the Colorado mountains, Erika Jane moved to Asheville in 2006. After recording her debut album, The Hill Creek Sessions (at lovely Hill Creek Studios), Erika Jane began playing shows around the Asheville area. Remember the Bees came together as a project in January of 2008. The driving bass drum, soulful guitar and thoughful lyrics has intrigued a bit of local attention. They have even had the pleasure of opening for the likes of Grace Potter & the Nocturnals and the Benevento Russo Duo.
This band is very passionate about a problem facing all humanity in North America, the disappearance of the bees. As beekeepers in 2006 began reporting, nearly one third of all honey bees have been leaving their hives, never to return again. Much of our food supply is dependent upon pollination and as more information surfaces, research is showing that the disappearance is not limited to bees but is affecting butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinating creatures.
Erika Jane & Remember the Bees have made a commitment to learning more about this problem and sharing information and solutions.

With a sound that is both more quiet and more stylistically refined than the others on the ticket, Jane’s gorgeous take on pop music is the perfect stuff for a rainy day. The stories that Erika songs tell are relatable, accessible and—most importantly—humable.
