Erikka Ashleigh is a WINNER in the LDS Jukebox competition. She will get to have one of her songs featured on the "Best of the LDS Jukebox" CD! Keep a look out for the CD to come out in the spring or summer.
Erikka Ashleigh is a fresh, young, and talented up and coming singer and songwriter. She just recently won a singer/songwriter competition for the LDS Jukebox. She, along with 11 others, will get to have an original song featured on “The Best of the Jukebox” CD, which should be released sometime this summer.
Ashleigh is also in the process of writing inspirational country songs for her debut album. She writes songs from the heart; only writing about things she has personally experienced. Whether that is love and heartache, happiness and sorrow or grief and pain, she puts it all out there for everyone to feel. “It’s important to me to sing and write about things I can relate to; or things that I have personally experienced,” says Ashleigh. She wants her music to tell a story, to touch and inspire people.
Ashleigh was born in Ogden, UT, but moved to Washington when she was eight. Growing up she sang in all of the school and church choirs. In addition, each year Ashleigh would sing in local talent shows and county fairs. “I have always loved country music and have always wanted to be a country singer; so I decided to make an inspirational, upbeat, and fun country album. Of course, it will also have some great heartbreaking break-up songs on it too; but I want the overall message of the album to be positive.”
Erikka Ashleigh has worked with acclaimed vocal coach, Dean Kaelin for the last 4 years. Besides music, Ashleigh loves to just have fun! She loves children, spending time with her family, especially her husband of 2 years-Alan, traveling, shopping, playing sports and reading. Ashleigh is very happy and outgoing. She loves life, and has big dreams and aspirations for the future.
