Madison, WI, August 9, 2008 - The harsh reality of a dream not coming true is the basis for Erik Kjelland's new solo album "However, Coma." Raw feelings of disappointment and anger weave their way through the lyrics of the songs, but are quenched by the main theme of the album: no regrets, moving on.
A sequel of sorts to the cheerful and positive nature of his first critically-acclaimed album, "Everybody Falls," this new album finds our lead character forced to listen to his own advice from years past: everybody falls sometimes, its how you stand up and you get there that makes you stronger... and, yes, even brighter. The album is inspirational in a completely different way than his previous album. Comfort is found in acceptance of one's own self, family and friends, and a realization that "things might be what they seem" in the knocked-down world of music.
Kjelland tapped his former bandmates the Fallen Roadies as well as some other talented friends to help him record this epic journey of songs at Phoenix Pharm Studio and Moondog Studio in Wisconsin.
Kjelland currently plays with 3 bands: Crimson VIM, Fallen Roadies, and Goodnight Nobody.
