Erik's discography as a member of “PROYECTO UNO” includes 4 Albums:
The first LP, “Todo el Mundo”,(Distributed by J&N/WEA Latina) from which “Todo el Mundo”, “Tan Interesada and “Brinca” became overnight hits, PROYECTO UNO managed to obtain the approval of all those who listened and danced to their contagious MERENGUE HIP-HOP sounds.
The second LP, “In da House”(Distibuted by J&N/EMI Latin)was an even greater success. Almost every cut from “In Da House” hit the charts and moved to the number one spot throughout Latin America (Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Peru, Guatemala, Spain, Chile, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic) and came back to make a lot of noise in the United States. “Nu-NU”, “Dejame Probar”, “Another Night”,”Esta Pegao” and “El Tiburon” are cuts whose lyrics are very well known by audiences all over Latin America.

The fourth LP, “Cuatro” (4), was licensed through Universal but was never released in the United States. At that point, each member decided to do their own solo project with hopes of reuniting in the future.
This brings us to the personal journey of Erik Morales.
In the beautiful coastal region of Arecibo, Puerto Rico, began a family culture that would eventually pave the way of Erik Morales’ future. Erik Morales was born in the Caribbean, the city of Arecibo, the Island of Puerto Rico. He vividly remembers the tranquility of the town, the picturesque coastal scenery, and the old style architecture.
At the age of five, Erik’s parents decided to relocate the family. In search of a better life for his family, Erik’s father brought his family to the Big Apple where they made residence in the Ridgewood section of Brooklyn, New York. Erik’s father is a songwriter and an accomplished Spanish guitar player. These are the roots that have influenced Erik to pursue a dream.
Erik loved to sing with his family at church. His love and passion for music increased his desire to pursue it. At the age of 16, Erik decided to follow his dream and take singing seriously and founded the group “Twice as Nice”. “Twice as Nice” increased Erik’s determination and helped him continue pursuing his passion. As a result of his eager pursuit, Erik started his professional career in 1992 as a member of the now world renown group “Proyecto Uno”.
“Proyecto Uno” were the recipients of many musical awards. Most notably, the Latin Billboard Award, the A.C.E. Award, and certified Gold and Platinum Awards for record sales of over 3 million copies. The group received awards in the category of “Best New Artist of the Year” defeating artist such as Jon Secada and Luis Miguel. Their tropical rhythms pioneered a new sound in the Latin Industry known as
“Merengue Hip-Hop”. A demand for this sound enabled Erik to perform at sold out stadiums and arenas through out the world in places such as Central America, South America, Europe, Asia and major cities through out the United States. The success of the group also lead to Erik’s exposure in voice overs as well as commercials.
After four successful albums and world tours, Erik’s passions continue to drive him to newer horizons.
Currently, Erik has recorded his first solo project. Erik has mastered his craft by fusing his influences with other music genres. Keeping true to his root, he has intergrated his Latin sound with Jazz, R&B, Dance, and Alternative music. His new sound is as contagious as the sounds he emerged from.
This project has been created on the virtue of patience, the rewards of collaborations, and proper team placements. With Erik’s sultry voice, his ties to his culture, his debonair looks, and his charismatic personality he offers complete diversity. His sound and image is so universal that they will capture markets that will range from cultures to age groups, East Coast to West Coast, and through out the World. Erik’s solo project will prove that he will be a successful self reliant business partner to any entity willing to follow him on his journey.
