Erik Smallwood is a passionate follower of Jesus Christ first, a son, a brother, an uncle, and a musician. “I want people to know that before being a worship leader or musician, there is so much more to me than just music.” Erik is very devoted to his family, and visits Alabama as often as he can to spend time with his mom, dad, sister, brother-n-law, nephew, and niece.
Originally from Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Erik is a worship leader and singer/songwriter out of Fayetteville, NC, an alumnus of Visible Community School of Music and Worship Arts, and now currently looking for a worship position for a church body. Erik also travels nationally leading worship or sharing his original material with thousands, impacting lives anyway he can. He has been playing music for over 10 years, and has led worship for many denominational groups, and has been a worship leader in many states such as AL, TN, MI, and now NC. Erik is bringing a fresh sound with intense guitars, catchy melodies, and powerful vocals. Erik is definitely a man after God’s own heart and whether you're seeing him lead worship or you see him as the singer/songwriter, the love of Christ is very evident in his life.
“My desire is to show people the love of God and to lead people into an unforgettable experience with Christ. Whether that is leading worship for the church or playing in a coffee shop down the street, building relationships, and playing break-up songs about a high school crush (laughs), I want to impact somebody’s life and plant a seed.”
