About me:

Copyright exits for ALL images created by Erik Ström and Ström Art, LLC. Please do not reproduce these images in any way without written permission from the artist. The choices I make as an artist stem from my interests in world history, sociology, mythology, storytelling, my appreciation for nature, my curiosity in science, and the many interconnecting and Universal ways these ideas compare and contrast in relation to my perception of the human experience. My work is just as influenced by my academic art training as it is by the comic books I grew up reading and the contemporary entertainment I was exposed to. As a result of these influences, my work has a combination of modern illustration and classical fine art qualities. My visual style has developed with my exploration of pattern within composition, in relation to the narrative of the painting. These patterns derive from my general interest in geometry. From the most basic shapes to the most complicated structures, geometry (and in a wider scope mathematics and science) is a Universal language that I incorporate into my artistic vision -- sometimes represented in more subtle and organic forms and sometimes represented in more obvious and manufactured designs. Exploring these extremes and all points in between reinforces the idea that even the most Universal symbols can have similar or contradictory meanings dependent upon variables of the background and experiences of the viewer.     Keine Formvorschriften für Obst und Gemüse

    Gurken müssen nicht länger nach EU-Norm gerade oder krumm sein.
    Eine Verordnung darüber, welche Form bestimmte Sorten von Obst und Gemüse haben müssen, wird ungültig.
    Danach wurde für Gurken der besten Qualitätsklasse festgelegt,
    dass ihre Krümmung nicht mehr als einen Zentimeter auf zehn Zentimeter Länge betragen durfte.
     Künftig darf sich die Gurke krümmen wie sie will.
    Andere Obst- und Gemüsesorten kommen ebenfalls in den "Genuss" der neuen Formvielfalt.

    Lediglich für Äpfel, Zitrusfrüchte, Kiwis, Salate, krause Endivie,
    Eskariol, Pfirsiche, Nektarinen, Birnen,
     Erdbeeren, Gemüsepaprika, Tafeltrauben und Tomaten gibt es weiterhin Formvorschriften.
