Currently in my CD player: not sure, because I've been listening to the radio
I'll listen to just about anything (except rap & R&B) - but I especially love country! Brad Paisley, Jars of Clay, Suzanne Vega, Bret Michaels, Teddy Thompson, Chris LeDoux, Garth Brooks, Vienna Teng, Rascall Flatts, Def Leppard, Poison, Elton John, U2, Gary Allan, the Beatles, Switchfoot, John Mayer, Bering Strait, James Taylor - and my all-time favorite, never ever to be topped - BONFIRE!!! They are totally awesome in concert - I highly recommend seeing them live, and their lead singer is hot hot HOT.
Movies
Netflix just sent me:Dreamgirls
Breakfast at Tiffany's, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Garden State, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, St. Elmo's Fire, Grease, Love Actually, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Lars and the Real Girl. Of course, I am a sucker for pretty much any chick flick and Important Films like Hotel Rwanda. No horror movies though. Why would I want to watch people being hurt, scared, or getting killed? There's enough bad stuff in the world without horror movies.
Television
Everything stops for 24, The Office, and The Amazing Race. Of course, I adore What Not to Wear and anything on HGTV or TLC.
Books
Currently my nose is buried in:Hotel New Hampshire by John Irving andBlue Like Jazz by Donald Miller
I could never get enough of them. I tend to collect them up, and read and reread them. What better pleasure than to be surrounded by books whilst one's nose is buried in one? I'm going to end up needing a whole house just for all my books to live in.
I will devour anything by Barbara Kingsolver, Patricia Cornwell, Bill Bryson, Ken Follett, Anita Shreve, or Janet Evanovich. Ann Rule, Dinesh D'Souza, Jodi Picoult, and Richard North Patterson too. Also sappy romances, Sunday afternoon time-wasters like Barbara Delinsky. I'll read pretty much anything that's fiction and some non-fiction, but only if it's well-written and not boring. This Way for the Gas, Ladies and Gentlemen I highly recommend as far as non-fiction goes.
What you ought to be reading:The Kite Runner; The Screwtape Letters; Skeletons on the Zahara; China Boy; Maus 1 & 2; Ladies and Gentlemen, The Bronx is Burning; The Sheltering Sky; Falling Leaves; Anna Karenina; Ordinary Men; The Da Vinci Code; Devil in the Details; Memoirs of a Geisha; Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil; What's So Great About America?; The Kitchen God's Wife; The Lovely Bones; The Gate; Animal Dreams; Notes from a Small Island, and everything else Bill Bryson has ever written.
