I have no single favorite song, album, artist, genre. I will not limit myself like that. I expect more of myself, of you, the industry and radio stations. Someday there will be an option for listening to music that will neither bore us or end up cutting us off from one another. I don't like ipod's and their isolationist effect. I want to perform FOR people or sit and listen to others WITH people.Movies
Television
Just got tv again for the first time in years. While I am enjoying it, I feel like I'm getting dumber. I miss listening to NPR for hours on end and having educated opinions about current events. I suppose that I could very well continue listening to as much NPR as before, after all it is a choice... but tv is so EASY. Turn it on and there it is, picture, color, sound, action, romance, news, pacifying me until I will myself to push the very small button to turn it off. Perhaps tv really is a dumbing agent, I never had that much trouble turning off the radio, at least not because I had turned into a zombie. If I had trouble turning it off, it was because there was something fascinating being discussed. I suppose this is just one more thing pointing out that I am a work in progress.Books

I am large, I contain multitudes. And if you can tell me who wrote that, you and I are starting off well. I'm pretty much game for anything, but I don't deal well with bullshit. I can get excited about trips to esoteric museums or picking wild fruit & nuts in the middle of a business district. Antiquing or treasure hunting out in the wild ever changing sub-urban countryside of America. I love sitting on my butt and watching tv or playing video games, but if someone wants to go hiking, I'm in for that too. There is very little that is off limits, either in action or discussion. I'm not afraid of conflict and I would love to talk about difficult issues, especially if you and I don't see eye to eye. Other than that, ask me. Let's talk. Life is about people and interactions.
