AUSTIN ECHO
"Produced by longtime friend and collaborator Glenn Matullo (Shawn Mullins, Indigo Girls, John Mayer), Austin Echo exudes intimacy with its warm acoustic sound. The soul of each song takes precedence, delicately augmented by harmonies, guitars and contributions from old pals, including Don Peris (Innocence Mission) and Brandon Bush (Train)." - Paste Music
Erin Echo's self-titled debut CD was recorded in Atlanta by the late Mark Richardson, who also recorded Smashing Pumpkin's SIAMESE DREAM and Hole's LIVE THROUGH THIS.
Other musicians who worked on the ERIN ECHO CD include David Labruyere (John Mayer Band), Newton Carter (VOL, David Wilcox), producer Marty Kearns & Gerry Hansen (Shawn Mullins Band).
All of the songs on ERIN ECHO were written by songwriter John Austin, except for one which was written by Irving Berlin.
The song "Come Back Down" was co-written w/ Steve Hindalong (The Choir).
Erin's 1998 Lilith Fair performance included musical support from Bill Campbell (The Throes) & John Austin.
In 1992 Erin made her debut as background vocalist on John Austin's THE EMBARRASSING YOUNG, produced by the late Mark Heard.
Erin's brother Bobby Mittan is a founding member of The Ocean Blue.
Life after Charlie Brown is rather uneventful. I'm just waiting around for my one final exam on Friday. I am so glad that I got to work with you! I'll be in touch about the summer. And P.S. I really like your music and John's from what I hear on your pages.
