Erin recorded and released her first CD, Catastrophe Fantastic, in early 2005. The Silly Metaphor EP was released spring of 2006. She returned from living in SPain summer 2007, where she was working as a DJ and writing material. Upon her return she started collaborating musically with the ever talented Ryan Cron, wherein they formed LA FARSA. LA FARSA released their debut CD The Unbraidable EP in June 2008 and have since been playing up a storm! Erin Still plans on releasing her Spain material before x-mas. "I describe the 22 year old downtown Salt Lake City native as a folksier Fiona Apple. Her unique voice is one of the few I've come across around these parts. Apparently good female singers are hard to come by. Haley is bluesy and ballsy, and plays mean guitar! I played "Dirty Socks" on Live & Local and it's still a favorite..."

"...Erin Haley's EP is not only lyrically well crafted, but musically superb as well. The three songs cohere into a wistfully happy melancholy of exactly what the title conjures up; silly metaphors. Years of listening to and playing music have hones this EP into a rainy day puddle splashed good time. Look forward to the next project that the EP is only an inkling of."

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.

If I were selected, it would really help me rock some faces off, please take a second and vote.
Thanks!

Holy shit. The textures you are working with in Beatdown on #7 are rich and pretty. I like the simplicity of using a little discordant chord as a transition, big ups to jazz. This is music moving forward in general, even more than personal growth. Anyway, good work, keep it up! Props to the land of Prop 8 supporters, now just try and maintain your queer population, Utah.
