Before you were even concieved
I wanted you.
Before you were born
I loved you.
Before you were here an hour
I would die for you.
This is the miracle of life.

Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.

Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations. Before I was a Mom... I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night. Before I was a Mom I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep. Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put them down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom. Before I was a Mom... I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy. Before I was a Mom... I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.
Books
Things that change when you become a mom:
1. You finally stop to smell the roses, because your baby is in your arms.
2. Where you once believed you were fearless, you now find yourself afraid.
3. The sacrifices you thought you made to have a child no longer seem like sacrifices.
4. You respect your body ... finally.
5. You respect your parents and love them in a new way.
6. You find that your baby's pain feels much worse than your own.
7. You believe once again in the things you believed in as a child.
8. You lose touch with the people in your life whom you should have banished years ago.
9. Your heart breaks much more easily.
10. You think of someone else 234,836,178,976 times a day.
11. Every day is a surprise.
12. Bodily functions are no longer repulsive. In fact, they please you. (Hooray for poop!)
13. You look at your baby in the mirror instead of yourself.
14. You become a morning person.
15. Your love becomes limitless, a superhuman power.
16. You don't mind going to bed at 9 p.m. on Friday night!
17. You give parents with a screaming child an 'I-know-the-feeling' look instead of a 'Can't-they-shut-him-up?' one.
18. You take the time for one more hug and kiss even if it means you'll be late.

I'm always looking to practice and learn more. Lily isn't always the most willing subject to photograph! If you are interested in having pictures taken by me, send me a message!
Good, she's super naughty and has such a personality. She is so loud...she yells at us. It's funny now but i'm sure later it won't be. She's crawling now so she gets into everything. She pulls herself up all the time, that's like all she wants to do is stand(but not unsupported yet). How's lily and the bun in the oven(a boy :))?
I didn't know you had such talent with a camera! I'm truly impressed! Did you teach yourself? I'm gonna have to show your site to my wife once she wakes up. I have a little website with my drawings on it, but for some reason it's not running right now. I'll let you know when it gets fixed. Congratulations on #2 on the way!! I still need to get a first. lol
Happy Birthday!!! Call me if you want to get together today or later this week. Betsy and I went to Stonefire this morning so it's naptime now. I'd like to take you out to lunch sometime for your birthday.
Hey Erin! How's that bun in the oven :) Just wanted to stop by say hi and say Bryanna can't wait for some more pictures...hehe. She's starting to get alot better at sitting on her own.
Hey,hows it going one of these days we will have to hang out. But for now isnt God great to create such life and simplicity and mystery all in one when you think hey theres a baby growing inside my belly. awesome revelation. Have a good day.
That sounds like fun. I got woken up at 4 and didn't get back to sleep til after 5, then Betsy woke up crying at 6 and I'm still up. I don't know how much sleep I got, but it is not enough. Have fun at the zoo. Miss Thumbsucker is starting to let me know that she's getting ready for our morning nap.
HEY! I see that you put that video up of every one dancing or stomping on the deck. lol I am happy to see that you didn't put the one of me on there doing my crazy dance! lol I cant wait to go to the zoo!! :) see you tomorrow ! <3 you!!
I don't think you would be missing much if you switched from Star...she was good, but nothing special. She wasn't overly friendly or anything. If you can find someone better I would switch.
Isn't it crazy how big she's getting already! She's almost ready for her next photo session :) How are things with you? How's the little bun in the oven growin'?
