Erin Roth, a lyric mezzo soprano from Lufkin, Texas, has had the opportunity to perform in many operas and workshops, singing roles that include Romeo in Bellini's I Capuleti e I Montecchi (2009), Gertrude in Thomas' Hamlet (2009), Arnalta in Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea (2009), Octavian in Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier (2009), Cherubino in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro (2007), Prince Orlofsky in Strauss' Die Fledermaus (2005), Augusta Tabor in The Ballad of Baby Doe by Moore (2005), Maddalena in Rigoletto by Verdi (2004, 2009), and Third Lady in Mozart's The Magic Flute (2003). Erin has also performed as a soloist in Sullivan's The Golden Legend (2009), Mozart's Coronation Mass and Requiem (2009), Beethoven's 9th Symphony (2009), Verdi's Requiem (2008), Raminsh's Magnificat (2007),
Mozart's Spatzenmesse (2006), and Handel's Messiah (2004).
Some of Erin's awards and achievements are winning in The Orchestra of the Pines 2006 Concerto/Aria Competition and being a National Association of Teachers of Singing Finalist (Texoma Region, 2004). In March 2007, Erin was a scholarship winner in the Wednesday Morning Music Club's Fielder Grant competition. In November 2007, she was named a finalist in the Edward Baird Singer of the Year Competition (Texoma Region). Erin recently completed a summer apprenticeship with the Des Moines Metro Opera (2009).
