E.R.K which stands for Earth’s Recognized King established himself in the Underground Hip-Hop Scene at the young age of 13. He discovered his skill for writing poetry and music after performing an original piece at the Dramatic Arts Festival when he was in the 8th grade and receiving a standing ovation. Since then it became obvious that he had a natural talent for writing music and he has been doing it ever since.

E.R.K emerged from a group of local DC Rap Artist called the Remainz Crew. The group consisted of nine members who met in high school through battle rapping each other in the hallways during lunch. The group began recording songs together in early 1994 and has recorded more than 500 songs together. One member named Raheem Devaughn was later signed to Jive Records. E.R.K is next up to bat. This DC underground Hip-Hop artist is not only talented but a smart business man as well. He is destined to take music in a new direction and give the people exactly what they want. Hey I wanted to let you know about my party on Friday Nov 28th. The friday after Thanksgiving. @ The Red and Black. On 12th and Hst NE. Starts at 9pm. Its a Violet Says 5 party so you know how we go. If you dont definitly come out and find out.. yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! There will be Two other bands opening up. I want to see everybody I know there.
Hey brotha... Buckhead's hood is aight! LOL We are doing good down here... School and work are good. I've been missing home a lot but I will just have to wait till after the holiday season (cause of work). So I might be back in March for my mom's 50th birthday. I saw some pics you posted up, Trenton is too cute!!! I can't wait to see him again. When are you coming down? How is your music going? How are your parents, I keep thinking about them.
