Ernie (Castelló, 1978) has studied in both Spain and France. He plays Classical, Jazz and Contemporary Music at venues in both Barcelona and Madrid. He participated in the XI International La Villette Jazz Festival (Paris), and played in the Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and the Deer Head Club with David Liebman. He has won the following awards: 1st “Pòdiums” St. Joan de Vilatorrada’s Prize, Associació Catalana de Compositors’s Special Prize, 1st “Premis Tutto” Com Ràdio’s Prize and “Premis Butaca 2009” for the best Music and Dance Show with Afrodisax. He has different recordings, like Pequeño Rugier (1996), Sax 13 (2001), Català Contemporani, with Afrodisax (2003), Fase.01 (2003), Aluap (2003), Música para saxofones (2005), Canya al Ball (2005), The Zeemann Effect (2006), Wait Walking (2008). He has written "A ritme de...saxo!" (2008) and About Coltrane (2009). He has been a teacher at the Sabadell Conservatory since 1999.
