Peter DiStefano (PORNO for PYRO'S, Peter Murphy, etc), and E-Rok (DjmeDjyou, Beck, Somissound) had played shows together in their different bands Hellride and Overground, in Santa Monica in the late 90's. Then in 2002, E-Rok and Pete hooked up at a surf contest in Oxnard. Shortly after, E-rok's friend and bandmate Alan Black tragiclly passed away and E-Rok set up a benifit show at the Ventura Theatre. Pete, along side many of Alans friends, performed that night. It was an amazing night full of sound, passion, and love.
Shortly after the benifit E-Rok was coming back fom Las Vegas when he got the call from Pete. Pete said "lets do an album together". It was on...
E-Rok and Pete set out to record music inspired by surfing and the journey of life. So each day they would meet, go surf, return to the studio, and capture that inspiration. Almost all the tracks were written and recorded in the moment, with little or no overdubs. They created a sound canvas full of color, sand, passion, and waves. Tyler Sherman mixed the album and did additional production, synth, and drum programming... ( odeley Tyler!! )
E-Rok and Pete's first full length album is available on itunes, Rhapsody, Napster and many other digital music stores December 2005. E-Rok and Pete wrote and recorded their follow up "E-Rok and Pete 2" during 2007... It will be available June 08'....Check with SOMISSOUND.COM for more info.....

Hey E-Rok and Pete, I am excited that the music is finally being released. If iTunes is the only way to get it that is what I will do but I am wondering if there will be a limited release CD like you guys did with the first disc. Also now that the music is released can I share more of the video I shot? Let me know and take care you two.
Hello & Thanks! I am back in town and planning on a HUGE THANKSGIVING DINNER with lots of Wine Thursday! I am home reading and kind of watching the Lakers right! Hey, tomorrow night I will be supporting some friends at The Beachcomber Tavern. Killer folk based acoustic acts followed by some Beer Pong! I know..odd combo! I want to make this a fun weekend & it would be cool to see a few friend out to support my friends Jon Crocker, William Blackart and Adam Faucett. It's free so if you have a safe ride do it!
