About me:
People need intimacy. People think they need sex. It has taken personal brokenness for God to reveal this simple truth in our lives.
Within every heart is a legitimate need for intimacy. The arena of sexual brokenness is a doorway to deeper intimacy: deeper intimacy with God and with others. ErosWounded is dedicated to walking alongside of the sexually broken and wounded.
We exist for those who have been sexually wounded, betrayed, obsessed, and broken. Beginning to find solace around the sexual broken places of your heart is not the easiest journey to begin. The shame and fear at beginning to open up about these areas of our hearts can be quite daunting. We hope that eroswounded may be a safe place to begin your healing journey or continue it as well.
eroswounded is based in Folsom, CA, and is hosted by David and Rebecca Wever
David and Rebecca Wever have been married for fifteen years. Over the last eleven years they have been on a healing journey together in seeing God restore and heal their marriage after David’s admittance of sexual sin and transgression in their marriage. They have three children: Abigail,11; Micah,9; and Sarah,4.
Rebecca has been involved in full-time and part-time ministry for the past fifteen years. She served on staff at Willow Creek Community Church in the Marital Restoration and Divorce Recovery ministries as Program Coordinator. Her ministry experience also includes work with wives and couples around the issue of sexual sin and betrayal through the Becoming One After the Fall Couple's Conferences she teaches with David. Her own story of healing from sexual abuse and sexual betrayal has been a powerful encouragement to women on the same journey through her minstry of sexual betrayal coaching(www.sexualbetrayalcoach.com).
David is the west coast program director and main speaker for the Every Man’s Battle Workshops presented by New Life Ministries. David brings a special blend to his teaching through his counseling and pastoral experience as well as his own sexual purity recovery. David is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Granite Bay, CA and teaches as an adjunct professor at Western Seminary on the issues of sexuality, marriage and addiction. David is also the lead expert/coach in helping parents talk with their teens about the dangers of porn at www.theporntalk.com.
