EROTIC JULIET..s Red Light Cabaret Album OUT ON OCTOBER, 2009!!!
LATEST PROJECT FROM FLORENCE, ITALY, 'EROTIC JULIET' - THE PRODUCT OF AN ALTERNATIVE ELECTRO LEVEL
During this decade in Brazil but also in Italy's Dark Rock-Electro scene, ASH, has performed some projects under a dozen of different styles experimenting with everything from "unstructured clutter mind and sound testings" to "ambient" noise. Now the EROTIC JULIET project headed in a new direction with a high professional produced studio album in several years. RED LIGHT CABARET. Produced by an experient team such as at Machine House Recording label in São Paulo / Brazil by Alex Calvanese (Sepultura..s and Paul D'iano Producer) and at Subsound Studios in Rome / Italy by Victor Love (Dope Stars Inc and Ephocate), the majority of the album was performed by Ash, Cobra on guitars, and Alex C contributing in synth on 3 tracks and 6 tracks mixed by Alex C (Sepultura - Root's album producer).
With Erotic Juliet, ASH leaves behind the stacked slabs of large sound that classified his earlier projects and takes 'Red Light Cabaret' into the most structured actual albums patterns, aggressive synths, and bass lines fused with sound collages, trash guitars, moody keyboards and anger vocals as you can check out on Disconnected Chain.
While earlier projects have been the result of some covers and creative partnerships, The Erotic Juliet's Red Light Cabaret sets itself apart as a clear representation of ASH's most intimate talent and his ever-evolving musical vision that just came out after some years.
ASH has been involved with electro music since his 2004 recordings consisting in a couple of experimental noise-depressive creations. The last few years brought him new musical projections and a new gear into the mix, giving rise to a period of rhythmic, sample-based and electro compositions under the pseudonym of EJ Project. To enhance all those skills a great big investiment has been done over equipments, DJ material and all that could be useful and qualified for an actual electro scene.
From 2003 to 2007 ASH and COBRA teamed up with Alex C (Sepultura's and Paul D'ianno's Producer), Alessandra L (Fashionist Photographer), some relevant names during their all time production such as Virginia Punko (Top Model - Vogue Cover), later on D.K. (for a bass experience) and Victor Love (DSI) producing some of the pieces.
EROTIC JULIET credits groups such as Nine Inch Nails, IAMX, The Prodigy and a bunch of DJs as their heaviest influences over electro/alternative experiments and ambiances.
Until November of 2009, ASH has been performing with Dope Stars Inc as a live member. All the respect, trust and friendship between the group leaded them together for great acts around almost all over North, Central and East European countries, Russia as headliners and opening big open air festivals, touring around Europe for the Into Darkness and Blackfield Festivals (always as a live DSI member) together with Lacrimas Profundere, Diary of Dreams and Deathstars and, some days ago for their first time in USA.
Without any doubt 2009 has been artistically great to ASH specially for the possibility of releasing RED LIGHT CABARET while on tour.
The near future plans involve the promotion of RED LIGHT CABARET over Europe thru some festivals and live acts.
For now ASH deeply thanks all the musicians he met, fans and friends he made during the very beginning period of his carreer until the great people he..s meeting nowadays.
