Subtitle: Decomposure - The Best in the Universe, or Merely the World? by Gud Kopyriter
Decomposure is caleb mueller, a man who's musical genius is greatly lauded around the globe for all time as a genius. Many people, such as important ones, have said that he makes 'electronic music that doesn't sound like electronic music, thankfully.' Hailing from the spicy nights of [exotic place], Decomposure famously flies all around the planet to 'gig around' with [rapper man] and [granddaughter of famous dead country singer] and muh man Bobby DeNiro to record all his songs that are diamond-like because they are so good and you wouldn't want to lose them (Remember that he writes songs like the best in his region and sits by the fire). The many months between the years of 2007 and 2008 saw him ooze out songs and wove them together with intricate diversity, aching insistent hooks with languishing vicious guitars, and one of the top 10 songs of all time says Scott. He has sunglasses and a hipster afro. Musically, he soars to results that speak for themselves, with the raw power of catchiness and master craftsmanship of a rare breed with lyrical sing-a-long singles from the most wondrous of places. A lot of many famed people have agreed that he sounds alot like [name of popular band] energetically meets [name of another band], but doesn't sound like [my favourite band], which is too bad, but still he is the man. His fan base continues to swell and counts amongst its ranks the liketh of [famous hack comedian] and close personal friend [movie star with indie cred] and has rubbed elbows with legendary rock producer [legendary rock producer], which means he must make really great music because he knows them and they're so famous like he is around the world. He also enjoys empty buzzwords such as raw, towering, hypnotic, ominous, gauzy, sunny, fluttering, lush, shimmering, angular, skittering, and widescreen. New York, Brazil, and the Europeans are all up ons his flavours of [list of genres, some made up]. You'll be asking yourself how you have survived without Decomposure in your life and only a bowie knife during the economic collapse. You will, in one word, be awesome. Decomposure to the max, today and tomorrow. Just Do It. By Mennen.
Haha, it takes a lot of effort to make a name for yourself in this day and age.
Though that said, simply putting new songs up on your myspace set into motion a chain of events which led to me relistening to Taking Things Apart and remembering how good it was, purchasing At Home And Unaffected from Amazon, downloading your most recent album, and contemplating the imminent purchase of Vertical Lines A, because I still haven't heard the whole thing.
Now, if I was everyone in the world, well.. err.. you'd have a pretty big fanbase. :D
Hold on a second.. "Out October 7th, 2008"?! And I didn't know about this sooner?
Maaaaaan.
I'll download it right away, listen to it in a flurry of activity, and donate large sums of money, which given my not having large sums of money, will be modest sums of money.
I am excited to do all of those things I just said. The text you wrote about the genesis of the album has built up some expectations I feel will be met.
Your music has slowly become an altogether different beast to the one that used to roam around all up in my ears. But I like the new direction you're taking. So that's something.
Past the Post is very catchy, very fun music. With the album excerpts as well, you seem to have created something that isn't explicitly complex, but still has a subtle depth, just bubbling below the surface. Altogether, nice works. I look forward to hearing what your sound evolves into in another two years. :D
Just a reminder to listen in FRIDAY afternoon at 4:30-6 pm CST to hear DECOMPOSURE on “This Great White North” an ALL CANADIAN music show from Austin, Texas It’s on www.koop.org 91.7 KOOP-FM
Haha...it's a pleasure to play your music! I must say that although I like all 3 of your albums, Taking Things Apart is my favourite one! I've been playing it quite a bit on my show!
Love what I've heard of the album so far! I also really appreciate your openness on your process, it's very refreshing, anti-pretentious, and on a practical level, could be instructive for someone else looking to make music that way.
