Sister duo Angel and April Erwin have been singing together and with their mother Linda, for years. They're known in church as an Acappella group. "The Erwins Acappella", a culmination of hymns and old gospel songs, was the trio's first release. In 2001, the sisters decided to take their love of music to the next level by pursuing a new style of music. One that incorporated a more varied style then their norm. They started writing their own songs, a new experience for both of them. Not an unlikely one though. It seemed like a natural progression for April, since she's already a novelist.
"It's been a slow process for us. We love the creativity that's involved - teaming up with musicians and recording. But it can be hard to squeeze in the time needed to really get the songs the way we want them. We aren't giving up though, the journey is half the fun."
The journey continues. With two singles under their belt, they continue to work on new and original music. Stay tuned for future tracks on this site.
