perform bluegrass, gospel, classic country, celtic, folk and old-time music.
At 21, Eryn sings, composes songs, and plays numerous instruments that include: mandolin, resonator (slide) mandolin, acoustic guitar, resonator guitar, electric guitar, mountain dulcimer, dobro, banjo, lap steel guitar, upright bass, electric bass, bouzouki, fiddle, autoharp, and ukulele.
Members of The Family Fold are Eryn’s father, Patrick Eubanks, playing various
percussion and old-time instruments such as spoons, washboards, and wooden boxes; and Eryn’s mother, Ricie Eubanks, singing harmony vocals and playing upright bass, penny whistle, and flute. Jim Jewell and Mike Merritt (guitar and vocals) are regular members of the backing band.
Eryn was voted “Augusta’s Favorite Female Musician” in 2004, 2005, and 2007; and “Augusta’s Favorite Misc. Instrumentalist” in 2007 in an area wide balloting by the Lokal Loudness music organization. Readers of the Augusta Magazine awarded Eryn as “Best Female Vocalist” and “Best Performing Artist” in 2004.
Eryn Eubanks & The Family Fold were voted “Best Local Christian/Gospel Band” in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 in Augusta Magazine’s “Best Of Augusta Contest.” They were also named “Metro’s Best Country Act” in 2007; and "Metro's Best Gospel Act" in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 by the readers of the Metro Spirit.
At the age of 16, Eryn was set forth into the ministry, and became a licensed minister. The Family Fold are very involved in ministry work.
Eryn Eubanks & The Family Fold have been performing around the Augusta, GA area for several years, as well as taking the stage at music festivals in Atlanta, GA and Casper, WY. In 2008, the first Eryn Eubanks & The Family Fold Music Festival was held with over 1000 people attending from the Southeast region. All proceeds benefited Lynndale, Inc., an organization that helps those with developmental disabilities. hey Eryn, sorry I missed the festival this year, talked to patrick and had planned on coming out to do some gospel magic and balloon animals but I threw out my back the day before the event and wasn't able to stand for any lenghth of time. Hope to see you at the coffee house at the church again soon.
Hey, Eryn! The festival was amazing- I hope that everyone had as good a time as I did! Thanks to you, Ricie and Patrick for all the hard work- it certainly paid off in a big way.
