Escape Artists are 4 people from the concrete backwaters of Essex.
Drawn together through similar tastes, desires and ambitions to make the kind of music that they themselves would like to write and perform, they have overcome the barriers of distance and separation to get to where they need to be.
Atmospheric undertones, resounding choruses and cups of tea are key components of this well oiled machine.
During their previous incarnation, 'Waylaid' they played with such acts as Oceansize, The Maccabees, Fat Boy Slim,People In Planes, all over the UK and enjoyed coverage on XFM and MTV and VH2.
After musical differences and a loss of direction the band took an unspecified sabbatical in which we traveled, wrote, matured, loved and lived.
Times have changed and the itch is back.
Over the last 10 months we have been writing and recording new material.
Moving on from what we were before, Escape Artists have come of age.

So its been a long time coming but the last 10 Months have been pretty intense to say the least, the last few weeks and days even more so.
We've been hard at work in the studio and have recorded a couple of songs for your aural excitement, one of which should be up with the next week or so so keep checking!
In other news...
We have a Headline Show on the 6th November at the Square in Harlow with support from 33 Revolutions, New Town Pioneers and I Dream In Colour.
This looks set to be an amazing show and the first chance to hear the new songs live.

Things are getting pretty intense around here. We have a couple of songs that should be ready really soon (they're sounding pretty awesome) and we cant for you all to hear them!
We will also be announcing a big show very soon...We've been couped up for nearly 10 months writing and rehearsing and we're currently working harder than ever before.

Yeah, they were pretty good, was pretty shocked at how small the turnout was though, was a joke if you ask me....Fresh Legs were impressive, though not overfussed on The Corrections. Make Model were very good though!
Thank you for putting up those 3 tracks available to download, you planning on adding any others to your myspace player? I have IT Animation already from the Control Yourself CD. Thanks lads, love your work and would love to have them on my IPOD :-)
