There may be joy in this world

Despite the grass will parch

For the leaf may parch and fall
For the tide can drown us all
How can curtains
Have shades of sky
If when they fall
It's a cruel show?

Escarlatina Obsessiva was form in 2006 by Karolina (bass and vocals) and Zaf (guitar,
keyboards and synthesizers), influenced by the european 80's post punk bands
and the american 80's punk rock bands...Bands like Gruftrosen, TSOL, Bad Brains, Malaria, Xmal Deutschland,
Siekiera, Siouxsie and the Banshees, David Bowie and Grauzone are always been listenning by
then. Escarlatina Obsessiva recorded 2 albuns and released both with 80's Records, in Brazil. The albuns are:
Chants of Lethe (a darkwave and glommy album) and Blossomy Parks (album where Escarlatina's post punk vein were emerge). The second album also was release in 2009 by Recorded, Recordings, Records, an american label..And they've just released a new album, PANDEMIC, by Zorch Factory (net french label). Pandemic will be phisically available on 80's Records too...This album has 10 tracks and you can download all of them on Zorch Factory's site:

Do it yourself always been a way to Escarlatina Obsessiva do their projects, recordings, videos..
They did several gigs in these 2 years...The first live show happened in December 2007 at Sat Night's in São Paulo, with the band Days are Nights.
In March of 2008 they opened Dive's show in São Paulo, with Cybernetic Faces at Hertz Fest and again, in december of 2008 they opened the Plastic Noise Experience's and Serpent's gig, in São Paulo, at the Inferno Club (Projeto Ferro Velho)...Still in 2008, they take part of the Woodgothic Festival (this festival was idealized by themselves at their home town, São Thomé das Letras, Minas Gerais)...and finally the gig at the Cambridge Hotel (certainly their best gig in 2008), in São Paulo (Projeto Via Underground), in September and in Belo Horizonte at the Matriz venue. And finally, in 2009, Escarlatina released a Tribute for one of their favourite bands, TSOL. It is a tribute where some brazilian post punk bands recorded their favourite TSOL's song...it is available for free download also on Zorch Factory:
