re: romanian beer.. if you can get over the plastic container, i would say its pretty much the same as the caguamas you get down mexico guey, but i guess the screw on lid is handy..
Happy birthday brother. Man... I would love to come to oaxaca but not sure if i can pull it off this summer. Im working mighty hard on getting out of debt. I think next year a trip to oaxaca will definately be in the plans.
;) well, that's good - we never played a show, because I never learned to play bass till I was 30, for my husband's band, but we did drink a lot of coffees together.
I mainly remembered a lot of sitting in La Baguette (-whatever that place was?) with coffee and probably cigarettes, and that you were a writer (I am a writer), and probably hanging at various parties, though this is where my memory really suffers, hmm.
I was (and am) good friends with Marianna Johnson, Hilary Brown (who, I am very sad to say, died New Year's morning 2005) and Jennifer Wilson, and at the time, with Rick Dawson etc. from my second year (I think yall were all a year ahead of me), and I was flatmates with my friend Drew Stile that year (in case you knew him?), whom I can't find, and I find that worrying. At first, I just remembered your name, but in flipping through pictures, I remember you well, now, despite your very different hairstyle. I think you also dated a girl named Nicole for a while, whom I've suddenly remembered, too. Looks like you're in Oaxaca? Is that your child on the fun ride? Anyway! Cool to see you. -Hannah
