PHASE 1 - BEGIN:
Since 2008, Leeds based duo Eskimo Twins have been bubbling away under the surface of the city’s vibrant music scene.
After agreeing on their mutual appreciation of Techno, Classic House, Indie, Acid, Electro, and their lingering teenage love of Metal; the Twins have busied themselves with tweaking and crafting a dark electronic sound, inter-mangled with their penchant for twisted pop sensibilities.
The early demos were picked up by the likes of Streetlife DJ’s and Kissy Sell Out, generating murmurs of approval amongst bloggers, clubbers and open-minded members of the indie glitterati.
PHASE 2 - GOING LIVE:
From the outset the Twins wanted to distinguish between the two separate ways to play out; A full live show and energetic DJ Sets.
Their live show encompasses all the essential elements of live electronic music: Laptops are synced, synths are played, samplers are triggered and effects are tweaked for a full, live, sweaty performance.
DJ sets incorporate a similar energetic live ethic with, Techno, Electro and House sitting alongside Wobble and Wonk, Rave and a selection of the Twins’ own re-edits, and remixes.
Early shows with the likes of Annie Mac, Rusko and DJ Mehdi won over crowds up and down the country and began to raise the Twins profile. The rest of 2009 has seen Eskimo Twins go from strength to strength, sharing stages with Erol Alkan, Boys Noize, Brodinski, MSTRKRFT, Fake Blood and Simian Mobile Disco, whilst continuing to develop their live and ever-expanding live show.
PHASE 3 - PUT SOME RECORDS OUT:
Eskimo Twins debut EP was released on Street Beats in July, backed with heavy remixes from Hostage and Jo Kira. The EP received support from Zane Lowe, Kissy Sell Out and Annie Mac.
Their second release is scheduled for release on November 16th 2009 via Wax:On Music. The Horror EP will be backed with a diverse remix package from Joe and Will Ask, Doorly and Cassette Jam.
PHASE 4 - NEXT:
Remixing artists such as People Get Real, Jo Kira, Cassette Jam, Streetlife DJ’s and Doorly, writing new material and playing DJ sets around the UK and Europe is sure to keep the Twins pretty busy during the rest of 2009.

Was just passing by and noticed that your record was available from Global Groove... DANG!! I used to spend a fortune in that place when I was a nipper (17) and listening to 30 second samples of the tracks before I took a gamble and purchased. I say a gamble, as it was hard to judge a piece of music that is 9 minutes long based on how good the first 30 seconds of beats and percussion were. Ahhh, they were the days...
Anways, hope you guys are well See you soon, hopefully.
