Jans has listened a lot to Ani di Franco and other singer/songwriters like for example Rufus Wainwright and Martha Wainwright. Simon listens to Eno, Fripp, Sylvian, electronic music like the music from Boards of Canada, Johan is currently involved with ... I forgot the name!(i will remind you, Erna: Spock's Beard, Salem hill, Kaipa, Genesis, Pagan's Mind) Anyway, he likes rock music, sometimes maybe kinda like symphonic progressive rock, I've listened to Kate Bush, Prince, Mahler and sung a lot of choral music made by modern and old composers. Remko, I think he listens to.. everything and nothing at the same time.
Sounds Like
Arranged for several voices, beautiful arrangements. We're very broad, with several (song)writers with divergent backgrounds. Sounds just like Espinita!
Espinita existed from the year 2005 until may 2009, although the members of this band have been playing together for several years, in different casts. Songs were written by all members or they emerged during rehearsals.
We live in Groningen, the Netherlands. July 2nd 2006 and Feb 18th this year, we played in Café Marleen
and the recordings above were made there.
hey! we are trying to change something... our new singer erik can't be a full member of dreamscape because the stess to travel a lot is affecting his health. so we decided to work with more than one singer - honestly we will work with even more than two... hopefully you will like that idea! we like it a lot because we will be very flexible and our sound will become even more complex! kind regards!
