A 'lil bit of everything. Music to be played in store varies on a daily basis from: hip-hop to punk, soul to raggae, funk to rock. We're open minded and relise that music genres are influenced by each other.
About me: Where to begin?
The story starts around March / April '96 when we opened our first store in Bognor Regis, then by October that same year we opened our Chichester store. Since day one we've always supported the 3 true street sports: Rollerblading, Skateboarding and BMX Riding and still continue to do just that over 10 years down the line.
When we opened peoples preceptions towards the sports we support were very different than they are nowadays, you gotta remember this was before the first X-games, before the Sony Playstation - let alone the Tony Hawk games and well before the EX channel. So in the early days we had a lot of people come into the shop just to see what we sold and what we were about, our outlook as representatives of these sports was to educate people about them, let them know how much fun can be had and how a whole lifestyle can spawn off of them.
Don't get the wrong idea, we aren't like all the other wannabe "extreme" stores that are out there now where the staff are knowledge-less and ignorant. Over the years we've only ever had staff that either roll, skate or ride and know what they are talking about! We provide our customers with help, knowledge, and advice and are proud of it!
ESP is like the hub of the scene, a place where people meet up before they go for a session, a place to stay up-to-date with what's going on in the industy and a place where people talk "spots".
If theres something lacking in our scene, we do our up most to get it sorted. For years Chichester's most imfamous spot was the multi(hard to even call it a spot) so we helped with a partition to the local council to get a skate park, thanks to the help of our loyal customers agreeing to sign it there was a skate park built behind the Westgate Centre in summer 2001.
Again, after going to and taking part in local comps and noticing how badly they were run we decided to run our own event. We did something that had never been done in our area before, we ran a FREE jam style event for Rollerbladers, Skateboarders and BMXers together. The only event where Rollerbladers, Skateboarders and BMXers gave each other props and respected each other that I've ever been to!
That's what ESP's all about, it's about supporting these 3 sports, it's about bringing like minded people together and most importantly it's about HAVING FUN!

hey jamie, hope your christmas was al good man. we need to hook up a skate soon. now this is going to make you laugh...my Billy's are hurting my feet haha yes once again a pair of skates are hurting my feet. i think i need to bring out my own boot company!!!!!oh and have xsjado changed the mold of the boot? i'm trying to think what skates i havent tryed yet...haha ah well i'l catch up with ya soon mate. peace.
Hey guys, wanted to know if you have any good brake pads, the odyssey ones I got off you a few months ago are really good, just wear down really quick, also any spanish bb's? I'm running the proper spanish 19mm for my macneil frame.
Wow! you have the clear brake blocks??? I have been trying to get my hands on those for AGES!! I heard they dont take the colour off your rims, is that right?
