My interests are of course music.I dj on the side.I go by the name of Dj Essence.I have been djing since 1999.I started because I love music and just wanted to have a hobby.I have my own set of Technic 1200's.I love to collect records that are very old.I am very interested in just having fun any way that I can be it going to the movies,bowling,playin pool(I'm good at this also),going to bball games,shopping,chilling with my corny nephew,or going to the City.Me and my twin sister go to NYC all the time.It's like our second home.I also love to travel.My dream trip is to Italy or China.Of course I want to go to the MotherLand also.I love the islands and I want to go back to the Bahamas when I can.

I am a fan of lots of different music.It does not matter what artist it is,if its hot its hot.I love neo-soul,r&b,hip-hop,alternative and jazz.Some of my favorite artist are The Roots,Mos Def,Talib Kweli,Slum Village,Little Brother(don't sleep on these brothers),Dead Prez,Common,Erykah Badu,Jill Scott,Goapele,Kindred and the Family Soul,Jaguar Wright,Mary J.,Anita Baker,Raashan Patterson,Thicke,Jagged Edge,New Edition,Lil Kim,Mobb Deep,Notorious B.I.G,Jay-Z,Kanye West,Lyfe Jennings,Ne-Yo,Wynton Marsalis,Branford Marsalis,and the list goes on and on.
Television
I like a few reality tv shows.I like Black/White,Miami Ink,the First 24,Wife Swap,Top Model,and American Idol(yes I'll admit it!).I also like the Wire,The Sheild,any Law & Order,any CSI,Girlfriends,Half & Half,Eve,Prison Break,Bones.Basically I like any cop/detective type show.
About me: If you want to know anything about me,then just ask.Basically I am very outgoing,but can be very laid back.I love listening to all types of music no matter what genre it is.I am also a big sports fan.I love basketball so much.My favorite teams are the Nets and Pistons.I have loved both since I was 9years old.I also love to travel very much.There are a lot of places that I would love to visit one day.I am also a family person.I do a lot of stuff with my nephew and my sisters.I'm happy to be going to school in September to be an LPN.
Im trying to get it moving with music this year.I dj on the side,but mainly for family.I have always been a fan of turntablism.I would love to learn how to chirp,flare,etc.Right now I just stick to the basics.I do have my own set of 1200's at my crib and maybe around 350-500 records.If anyone is willing to teach me a lesson or two on scratching or to be their protege then holla at me.I'm serious with this.
