Music was my first love!
At the age of three it was very obvious that I was totally into music. Every day again I entertained my parents and sis with imitations of Madonna, Tears for Fears,...
A few years later I went to music- and pianoclasses. At the Young Artist School it was Dany Caen who teached me the techniques of singing.
In 1998 I took my chance and got through the selections of VTM-Soundmixshow. With 'Together again' of Janet Jackson I convinced the viewers and won the contest against all my expectations!
Record label A&S signed me up and gave me the chance to record my first song and to take the first steps into the big world of music. 'Wanna be a star' got up to top 20 in the charts and the musicvideo was the very first Belgian 'Superclip' ever at TMF!
In 2000 I finished high school and decided to take a 'music-break' because I wanted to continue my studies.
So I went to college and three years later I got the certificate of teacher in elementary school.
After a while I felt like there was something missing in my life... The emptiness was caused by the absence of music!
And then, all of a sudden, there was Idols 2007!!! I ended up 2nd, but that was more than I could ever wish for!! It changed my life and made me feel like such a different person! On top of that, SonyBmg offered me a record deal on the day of my 25th birthday!!
Every day again I am so thankful to be able to do what I love to do and I enjoy everything that happens to me!!
