Forming in winter of 2004, estrella is a hip hop crew with a message to share. Composed of two emcees: Taybot and Praxis, and one DJ Swervewon, the crew estrella has embarked upon a musical journey to educate, connect, celebrate and learn. Based in Seattle, Washington, estrella combines the passionate and intelligent lyrics of two community minded emcees with a range of musical genres; pushing boundaries and blurring lines between Hip Hop, soul, electronic, and spoken word. The result is something new and revolutionary but at its core Hip Hop; moving your body and touching your soul as Hip Hop, as music - should.
