History: A.A.R.O.N. was established on July 23, 1971 by permission and in honor of HIM Haile Selassie 1 on his 79th birthday, who had previously granted in perpetuity the license and callsign "ET4RON" (along with a few other licenses and callsigns) to his majesty's young cousin, this club's origin and founder, Teru Minilik (ET4YAH).
The club has remained dormant for most of the time due to a lack of funds and members but has been reactivated lately thanks to the invention of the internet, which is hoped may help bring interest to the club from new prospective members.
All Citizens of African nations who have a valid license from said nation to transmit on the air, are invited to request to join this club. The founder is currently in exile in America but hopes to return to Abyssinia in the near future as soon as the current string of dictatorships has ended and it is safe again to repatriate.

We wish to express our regret that this idea, AARON, was born and began a long time ago, but unfortunately it was then allowed to languish for nearly 30 years. However, that will no longer the case!
AARON is now willing to move forward as well as African radio amateurs are willing to help bring this idea to full fruition!
