EP began in the spring of 2005 when Mark and Chris, unfulfilled with previous endeavors, decided to start a new project. With the need for additional members, Mark recruited Fred, a motivated singer and guitarist. EP began gigging in the fall of '06. Inspired by 80's metal and modern prog, the band played shows around Ottawa until June '07.
The band began advertising for a bass player in the fall of '07. The search yielded Al, a seasoned bassist with a great deal of musical experience. Finally, after almost a year off and no less than 4 bass players later, EP is back in business with a fresh lineup and some new tunes. The new material better demonstrates the band's progressive edge while staying true to the high gain, punchy sound of heavy metal.
The final step in EP's recreation will be a new name, so stay tuned!
