[ WONDERFUL WORLD ]
(Canon by Johann Pachelbel 1653 - 1706)
It's a wonderful world A wonderful day Live your life take a chance And friends will be friends [repeat]
Life isn't always fair but that doesn't make it easier When you haven't won And I know life has a brighter side
But darkness makes me feel better Than staring at the sun
Breath in Gonna find your flow Gonna take it slow No matter what it takes
It's a wonderful world A wonderful day Live your life take a chance And friends will be friends [repeat]
Lost love, lost ones Don't what your going thru Bad days, bad words Don't like what they're telling you Wrong and right don't always shed some light To help you see what's good
A wonderful day Take it slow
Don't you know No matter what it takes
It's a wonderful world A wonderful day
Live your life take a chance And friends will be friends [repeat]
[ LOVE ]
(Canon by Johann Pachelbel 1653 - 1706)
I've been listening to the sounds of this crowded empty room I've been trying to define what it is I'm going thru Will you show me Show me a better way Cause I don't I don't always Know exactly what to say Will you tell me
LOVE will you tell me where's the love Will you tell me where's the love Will I ever know Oh love oh love oh love [repeat chorus]
This cruel world can send me reeling Not enough love and not enough healing I've got this weight on my heart I've got this weight on my --
Done my time I've done my searching For a little love done a lot of hurting I've got this weight on my heart I've got this weight on my heart
LOVE will you tell me where's the love Will you tell me where's the love Will I ever know Oh love oh love oh love [repeat chorus]
In a world that makes you weak without pardon A world that sells your dreams for a bargain One broken heart can make you cynical But I will believe
And the evening breeze carries that same old lonely tune Oh, I don't I don't always know exactly what to do
LOVE will you tell me where's the love Will you tell me where's the love Will I ever know Oh love oh love oh love [repeat chorus]
[ I WILL ]
(Spring from “The Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi 1678 - 1741) Oh love is it naive? To simply believe that it can last a lifetime I'm not completely convinced that it makes perfect sense
To expect forever
Monday we break up Then tuesday we're making up By wednesday I'm convinced that I will marry Thursday my doubts are sunk But friday I'm getting drunk It's Saturday and I can't wait cause I will marry you
Behind the champagne on ice, the roses in white It's just a simple promise of "I do" For better or worse You will come first For now and always
Monday we break up Then tuesday we're making up By wednesday I'm convinced that I will marry Thursday my doubts are sunk But friday I'm getting drunk It's Saturday and I can't wait cause I will marry you
I know you know
Oh Love you give and you take In one big leap of faith and there is nothing sacred If we break hearts and break vows If we loose what we've found I'm still with you
Monday we break up Then tuesday we're making up
By wednesday I'm convinced that I will marry Thursday my doubts are sunk But friday I'm getting drunk It's Saturday and I can't wait cause I will marry you
Thursday my doubts are sunk
But friday I'm getting drunk It's Saturday and I can't wait cause I will marry you
[ VANITY ]
(First Piano Concerto by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky 1840 - 1893)
Mirror mirror on the wall Who's the prettiest of all I'm feeling pure in my couture
Whatcha driving what's it cost? When I'm strutting do they talk? Mirror mirror on the wall
Oh Chanel, Louis Vitton, Givenchy, Yves San Laurent Gucci, Prada, Pucci, Ford So Marc Jacobs, so Dior
Vanity my favorite sin The glamorous the rich the thin Fashionista flaunt your trend Vanity get's you again [repeat chorus]
Flick your hair from side to side Spend a fortune on your pride But when you dig down deep inside?
Make em jealous make em seeth Tell yourself "they envy me" When your all alone you'll see If they really care
Vanity my favorite sin The glamorous the rich the thin Fashionista flaunt your trend Vanity get's you again [repeat chorus]
I don't care I don't care I don't care what they think Cause in the end I just have me And what really matters Is that I'm avant-garde, spectacular, I'm grandiose and fabulous
Oh Chanel, Louis Vitton, Givenchy, Yves San Laurent Gucci, Prada, Pucci, Ford So Marc Jacobs, so Dior [repeat]
Vanity my favorite sin The glamorous the rich the thin Fashionista flaunt your trend Vanity get's you again [repeat chorus]
Oh Chanel, Louis Vitton, Givenchy, Yves San Laurent Gucci, Prada, Pucci, Ford So Marc Jacobs, so Dior
[ SO DEEP ]
("Tristesse" (Étude Op.10 No.3 in E major) by Frédéric Chopin 1810 - 1849)
So deep is the night
So deep is the night I forget what to do in the light So deep is the night So deep is the night I forget what to do in the light
So deep is the night And these neon lights
Don't know how dark I feel inside Tonight it's silent as snow My mood is low And I head towards where I shouldn't go
So deep So deep is the night So deep is the night I forget what to do in the light So deep is the night So deep is the night I forget what to do in the light
The music plays on
It carries me strong And I find what I need to face the dawn Now I am taking my turn I've got love to burn And this time I will savour what I've earned
So deep So deep is the night
So deep is the night I forget what to do in the light So deep is the night So deep is the night I forget what to do in the light
[repeat]
[ WORTH IT ALL ]
("Nessun dorma" from Turandot by Giacomo Puccini 1858 - 1924)
Been broken, battered, bewildered and bruised But I have also been blessed Been the one outspoken, been silenced and used But I know I gave it my best And I know love falls down And that this world can rob your breath and ground You're the moment that I won't regret
Will I know when you leave tonight? Will I know when you're leaving me behind And when love leaves no trace or sound
I will know You were worth it all
Everyday's battle is everyday's gift And everyday I stood by you I have done my wandering been high and adrift and on the way I found some truth I know love's not fair And that this world we cannot control But you're the moment that I won't regret
Will I know when you leave tonight? Will I know when you're leaving me behind And when love leaves no trace or sound I will know You were worth it all Worth it all
Been broken, battered, bewildered and bruised but I have also been blessed Been the one outspoken, been silenced and used But I know I gave it my best When you think that you've had enough Leave me with no words just one last touch And when I'm left with no trace or sound I will know you were worth it all Worth it all Yeah yeah
And when love leaves no trace or sound I will know you were worth it all Worth it all
[ NO APOLOGIES ]
[Sarabande (Keyboard Suite in D minor) by Georg Friedrich Handel 1685 - 1759]
Sorting out sifting thru the pieces Of what's left of me I don' know why I'm the one who's always screaming sorry All my pride, all my strength I've left at
The foot of your throne The only thing that you ever left was The smell of your cologne
I can't take it anymore I won't take it anymore No apologies No apologies [repeat]
Every breath, every mood, or look I've memorized Every smile was a look of warning to cut me down to size Your silence burns like poison going down my throat Every word every nerve is telling me to go
I can't take it anymore I won't take it anymore No apologies No apologies [repeat]
Alone, Alone I feel alone Alone, Alone I feel alone Alone, Alone I feel alone Alone, Alone I feel alone
Holding on to a worn out notion of who I used to be But I know that girl would never tell you sorry These walls are falling down now, on this broken home I won't sit here with your picture and the smell of your cologne
I can't take it anymore
I won't take it anymore No apologies
No apologies
(No matter where you go no matter what you do
you'll never ever be good enough, No matter where you go no matter what you do you'll never ever be good enough for me) [repeat]
[ CHANGE THE WORLD ]
(Exodus by Ernest Gold 1921 - 1999)
I know you feel a burning Don't like the way life's turning Temptation calls I know everybody feels powerless sometimes But don't you know you're not 'cause We've got the lies digested This system's tried and tested Cautionary tale
I know it's safer to be weak and civilized But what if we're not
Tell me why Tell me why can't you change your world
Tell me why Tell me if you could Would you change your world
What if we could re-direct it Take all those dreams neglected Find the strength to change Won't you close your eyes See your limits melt away Are you ready or not
Tell me why Tell me why can't you change your world Tell me why Tell me if you could Would you change Tell me why Tell me why if you could Would you change your world
Tell my why Tell me why can't you change your world Tell me why If you could Would you change your world
[ ONLY HUMAN ] (Morning Mood by Edvard Grieg 1843 - 1907)
I don't know why I can't handle thislife It goes on by And I'm one step behind I don't know why love is not always right
It goes on by And I'm one step behind
I am I am
Only human Only human And we do what we do And we are what we are [repeat]
I don't know why I keep chasing the time It keeps on running so I pick up my stride
I don't know why it's either black or just white Solutions fall Between the lines
Only human Only human
And we do what we do And we are what we are
[repeat]
Everyone's connected by one great divide We're only human, we don't always know why Solutions keep falling between these lines We're only human we try to understand why
And we will do what we will do And we will do what we will do And we will be what we will be We’re only Human
Only human Only human And we do what we do And we are what we are [repeat]
[ YOU SMILE ]
(Canon in D major by Johann Pachelbel 1653 - 1706)
I I'm the one that you don't see Who watches you so cautiously The one Who loves you silently I'm always one glance behind I'm on the outskirts of your life But you don't notice me
When you smile, smile, smile uh huh
And in your eyes I know I don't exist Can't resist When I see you smile When you smile, smile, smile uh huh And in your eyes I know I don't exist Can't resist When I see you smile
I I'm the one just out of view I'm the one you're looking thru So close And yet so far from you I'm a portrait still unveiled Unrealized and frail A girl
Who's scared to fail
When you smile, smile, smile uh huh And in your eyes I know I don't exist Can't resist When I see you smile When you smile, smile, smile uh huh And in your eyes I know I don't exist Can't resist When I see you smile
Oh yeah I'm invisible, I'm vulnerable to you Oh yeah tell me what I need to say, need to do
Oh when will I catch your gaze
Every look leaves me more amazed By you With you I melt away One moment is all it takes To change your life to change your fate And I deserve one leap of faith
When you smile, smile, smile uh huh And in your eyes I know I don't exist Can't resist When I see you smile When you smile, smile, smile uh huh And in your eyes I know I don't exist Can't resist When I see you smile
When I see you smile
[repeat]
[ TURN IT UP ]
(Sinfonia by Johann Sebastian Bach 1685 - 1750)
Turn it up turn it up Turn it up lay it down
Turn it up turn it up Turn it up lay it down
Building up inside me everyday Experiencing pressure in new ways
Well are you hearing me Are you feeling me
There's so much inside I gotta say
Building up inside me everyday Experiencing pressure in new ways Well are you hearing me Are you feeling me There's so much inside I gotta say
Turn it up turn it up Turn it up lay it dow Do you want it like this Turn it up turn it up Turn it up lay it down you've never had it like this [repeat]
Feel it know it say it do it I know I can help you thru it Blue eyes haunt me every minute
Brown eyes tell me, gotta live thru it
Let me penetrate your every thought Overtake your senses all you've got Beyond your barrier I can carry ya Nothings gained if nothing's ever lost I'll be the voice resounding in your head
When everything is black I will be red
Let me break it down Let me be the sound The sound that carries you
Turn it up turn it up Turn it up lay it down
Do you want it like this Turn it up turn it up
Turn it up lay it down You've never had it like this [repeat]
Feel it know it say it do it
I know I can help you thru it Blue eyes haunt me every minute
Brown eyes tell me, gotta live thru it [repeat]
(I don't wanna be standing here when you're gone)
Turn it up turn it up Turn it up lay it down
Do you want it like this Turn it up turn it up
Turn it up lay it down You've never had it like this [repeat]
ETERNITY ∞ - A REBIRTH AFTER THE FIRST DECADE
After one decade of power and bloom ETERNITY ∞ is taking over the reign & scepter of the POP MEETS CLASSIC spirit and sound and lifts this idea to new hights.
Originally the idea of combining
POP with CLASSIC in a special way was started by Geo in the 90ies. It became a big success in 1999 with the global hit of EVERYTHING's GONNA BE ALRIGHT. Together with JADE VILLALON from 2000 onward it became a perfect match of song, lyrics with especially a happy sound and cute vocals. So the line of hits became longer and longer:
For The Lonely (La Califfa by Ennio Morricone), Cinderella (Concert for trumpet in D-Major by Georg Philipp Teleman), Read My Mind (Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni), Life Is Cool (Canon in D-Major by Johann Pachelbel), Liberty (Kyrie by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart), Somewhere (Ave Maria by Johann Sebastian Bach & Charles Gounod), Hate Without Frontiers (Stabat Mater by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi), Testimony (Cradle Song by Edvard Grieg) Lacrimosa (Lacrimosa (Requiem) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart)
and Addicted that they wrote for the huge campaign of SUBARU's LEGACY in 2006 or the 2 cover tracks that they recorded for Square Enix' international version of the game "FINAL FANTASY X". Alone in Japan Jade and Geo sold under the artist name of SWEETBOX more than 1,250,000 albums. They have received globally many awards and accolades and have been honored by other famous artists covering their songs.
After a full decade of working together from 1999 to 2009 - after so many SWEETBOX and 2 SOLO albums, after so many hits and live concerts, after so many remixes of their original songs, Jade & Geo wanted to go back to their roots
and combine again classical themes with Jade's great voice and Geo's touching sounds, but this time they have set the standards much higher: A classical theme for every track!
Jade: "Our focus was to write an album especially for our fans that love the classical, and romantic elements in our former albums. Our music has meant different things to people over the years, but the impact of our POP MEETS CLASSIC tracks was always very strong. Whenever there is a change in a band or with an artist I think people get scared that they will loose what they loved about that music originally. I hope that this album puts some of these fears to rest. I know how much this type of music has meant to the fans over
the years, but after Sweetbox Geo and I both needed some breathing space from the classic and some time to explore new directions with our music and with our lives. This year just seemed like the right time, and our hearts were in the right places to finally record an album that many fans have been eagerly anticipating the last two years."
Everything changes, nothing stays the same but still some things are for eternity! Music is eternal, and it's power to uplift, inspire and endure is unique. Music can transport you thru time, or to a place where you find yourself again. It can make a memory vivid once more in your mind, or help you endure a broken heart. Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi, Pachelbel all were able to give the world music that proves itself to be "eternally" moving and beautiful generation after generation. In their new album ETERNITY hopes to honor some of these masterpieces.
Geo has studied classical music in Darmstadt in Germany in the late 80ies and started his first own studio in the early 90ies. He has ever been very connected to classical music. He likes to work by himself in the studio and plays nearly all basic instruments by himself, is doing all recordings, arrangements (that actually makes a good song a hit) and even the mastering. He likes to control the music at any time (from the first compositional idea to the final produced and mastered song or even its presentation live on stage) and only accepts influences from the artist that he is working with. So as a vocalist you better be a strong character to find your balance with him as a team. Jade is by nature rather soft/sensetive, but had to learn tough lessons already at a very young age when struggling in Los Angeles scene before her voice and songwriting talent was discovered by Alan Rich. Alan introduced Jade to Geo, and the rest is history and the future. Jade filmed her first TV commercial at 5, she then ventured onto broadway and then onto Hollywood. She has a meaty resume in TV, including top shows Recue 911, Touched by an Angel, Several movies of the week and a guest star spots on several music videos including TLC's "Unpretty." While acting and theatre were a great introduction to the industry, Jade wanted more, she wanted to write and sing.
ADDITIONAL INFO about PACHELBEL
Johann Pachelbel (*1653 ~ 1706) was a German Baroque composer, organist and teacher. He composed a large body of sacred and secular music, and his contributions to the development of the chorale prelude and fugue have earned him a place among the most important composers of the middle Baroque era. Pachelbel's work enjoyed enormous popularity during his lifetime; he had many pupils and his music became a model for the composers of south and central Germany. Today, Pachelbel is best known for the CANON in D major, the only canon he wrote, a piece of chamber music scored for three violins and basso continuo and originally paired with a gigue in the same key; it is one of the most recognised and famous baroque compositions.
ADDITIONAL INFO about Tchaikovsky
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky († 1840 – 1893††) was a Russian composer of the Romantic era. He wrote some of the most popular concert and theatrical music in the current classical repertoire, including the ballets Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, the 1812 Overture, his First Piano Concerto, several symphonies, and the opera Eugene Onegin.
ADDITIONAL INFO about Puccini
Giacomo Puccini (1858 - 1924)
was an Italian composer whose operas, including La bohème, Tosca, Madame Butterfly and Turandot, are among the most frequently performed in the standard repertoire. Some of his arias, such as "O mio babbino caro" from Gianni Schicchi, "Che gelida manina" from La bohème, and "Nessun dorma" from Turandot have become part of popular culture. “Nessun dorma” (English: No one shall sleep) is an aria from the final act of Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot, and is one of the best-known tenor arias in all opera.
ADDITIONAL INFO about Händel
Georg Friedrich Händel (1685 – 1759)
was an English Baroque composer of German birth who is famous for his operas, oratorios, and concerti grossi. His life and music may justly be described as "cosmopolitan". He was born in Germany, trained in Italy, and spent most of his life in England. Born in Halle in Saxony-Anhalt, he settled in England in 1712, becoming a naturalized subject of the British crown on 22 January 1727. His works include Messiah, Water Music, and Music for the Royal Fireworks. Strongly influenced by the techniques of the great composers of the Italian Baroque era, as well as the English composer Henry Purcell, Händel's music became well-known to many composers, incl. Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.
Händel's compositions include 42 operas; 29 oratorios; more than 120 cantatas, trios and duets; numerous arias; chamber music; a large number of ecumenical pieces; odes and serenatas; and sixteen organ concerti. His most famous work, the Messiah oratorio with its "Hallelujah" chorus, is among the most popular works in choral music and has become a centerpiece of the Christmas season.
In music, the sarabande (It., sarabanda) is a dance in triple metre. The second and third beats of each measure are often tied, giving the dance a distinctive rhythm of crotchets and minims in alternation. The crotchets are said to have corresponded with dragging steps in the dance. Although Händel wrote many sarabande movements, the one included as the fourth movement in his Keyboard suite in D minor for solo harpsichord achieved immense popularity when an orchestrated version was used by Stanley Kubrick for his 1975 film Barry Lyndon. Later, Brian De Palma featured the same orchestration as the overture for his 2007 film Redacted. Also, in another direct reference to Barry Lyndon, Michael Winterbottom included this sarabande in A Cock and Bull Story in a new arrangement by Michael Nyman.
ADDITIONAL INFO about Grieg
Edvard Grieg (1843 – 1907)
was a Norwegian composer and pianist who composed in the Romantic period. He is best known for his Piano Concerto in A minor, for his incidental music to Henrik Ibsen's play Peer Gynt (which includes "Morning Mood" starting the first suite and Solveig's Song, the last part of 2nd suite), and for his collection of piano miniatures Lyric Pieces.
Ibsen asked Edvard Grieg to compose incidental music for the play. Grieg composed a score that plays approximately ninety minutes. Grieg himself declared that it was easier to make music "out of his own head" than strictly following suggestions made by Ibsen. For instance, Ibsen wanted music that would characterize the "international" friends in the fourth act, by melding the said national anthems (Norwegian, Swedish, German, French and English). Reportedly, Grieg did not have the right temperament for this task.
