me. my cello. my voice. my body. my words. sometimes guitar, piano, mandolin, ukulele, various percussive instruments, and you.
Influences
my mom's lullaby, my dad's stories, aunt bj's flying lessons, joni mitchell, beyonce, aretha franklin, ani, fiona, paolo friere, bell hooks, barack obama, jessyka luzzi, bob dylan, malian beats, will dewitt's questions, music from the middle east, waves, sand, wind, trees, and stars.
I grew up on a sand bar playing music. Now I live in Ohio-- playing music, dancing, moving, writing, creating, speaking, performing, and teaching. Cello is my instrument of choice. I fiddle with the guitar, piano, mandolin, ukulele, drums, violin, and my voice.
Come celebrate a new OTR initiative - The Peaslee String Program - striving to increase interest among youth in string instruments through education, creation and collaboration. Good music. hugs. what else do you need really?
hello love, here is a bit of dance to tickle your fancy panties. I may be coming back east at the end of April... I'm an alternate for the Bobby Mc. performance in NY. I know it's a long shot but any chance we could perform? does that plane fly to NY? I would be there from the 27th to the 3rd of May. I figure that the next time I see you that you will be rather busy getting married!!!! AHHHH. Hurray! Love love love.
Loved your wedding invite. Congratulaitons! Hope the talks w/ Mr. Clark go well. If they don't then maybe I can drum something up for you with a slightly different line-up.... I have ideas.
Anyway, who is this wonderful hammered-dulcimer player? Gorgeous music, you two!
Sorry we didn't get to hook up again while you were here but jamming again was SOOO wonderful.
P.S. working on this has become an overwhelming reminder that it has been way too long since we played music together. Please Give Michelle love for me. I have been really wanting to thank her again for inspiring me to work with dancers. And I still sing about the Kononee bird. Perhaps I should just write her a letter to pass along through you. Love and skiing down a mountain belting Les Mis.
hello love, I just wanted to let you know that I put up some very rough mixes of some of our music from the last session we did. My engineering capabilities are limited by garage band but give a listen and let me know what you think about our individual levels or if you want me to do any easy tweaking to your EQ
Sean and I are doing a bit of a x- country tour this summer. Any chance we can kidnap you for part of it? much love always
