Ethan Rose is a musician, sound-artist, and faux-pilot who resides in portland, oregon. His music reflects his varied interests in old technologies, new sounds, and all things both inside and out. Much of ethan’s music has centered around his fascination with automated instruments from years long past, including things like music boxes, player pianos, and carillons. Although, don’t be mistaken - he is more interested in pulling new sounds and ideas out of these old and varied devices rather than treating them with a sense of preservation. Not to say that he doesn’t appreciate them for what they are, only that he is more interested in linking their histories to the modern age for the love of the sounds that they make.

Hey Ethan, A friend's band up your way just had their instruments stolen - The Drews in Tahuya, WA. Someone broke into their house and stole 5 guitars - one was a family heirloom - an old Fender White Telecaster. There's pics of the stolen guitars on my site at www. screamingstone. com Hoping you can help spread the word around your area. Thanks and rock on!
Hi - I've been listening to the Ceiling Songs album, and it reminds me of what Eno promised to do after 'On Land', but never did....look forward to hearing more of your work.
when i went to see paranoid park i got really emotional.. all the music suits the scenes so perfectly. it's almost unreal. 'song one'.. it's absolutely stunning. good work!
