Eugene and Doris is an experiment in Folk Pop. The thumping, rhythmic guitar, combined with the flowing piano lines, topped with the melodic counterpoint of the violin, make a recipe for music that is simple, cute, and enjoyable.
All the members of Eugene and Doris are followers of Jesus Christ, and because of that, most of their songs deal with Christian themes, and all the lyrics (even Dinosaur Devil), essentially point to Jesus as the only answer, and the only way to live a truly fulfilled life.

to be honest, that song isn't even really a song we play in a set, it was really only made as a "going away" song for a friend who is going to poland for college, who we will miss.
but, we did make it, so there is a possibility of it actually becoming a song we perform, if enough people like it. =)

so i (Tim) have been in the studio for the past week recording some new songs. so hopefully soon you should be able to hear the amazingness of Pure Empathy as it is produced by Scott Silkey productions! we are hoping that by late fall we will have our first ep. including all the songs we play at our shows.
