My name is Tyler Macklin and I represent the 20-Acre Venue Project; a community-run venue established for the soul purpose of helping you express yourself!
I recently met with local land-owner Brad Mowreader and we negotiated the use of
20 acres of PRISTINE and GEORGEOUS forest land
that Brad owns close to Dexter Park off of Hwy 58. We are turning the land into a
CAMPSITE/SMALL GATHERING AND MUSIC VENUE TO SUPPORT CHARITY.
Do you have expression? Do you want a place to showcase it? Are you willing to work for it?
YOU ARE INVITED TO THE FIRST CONTRIBUTER’S MEETING ABOUT THE 20-ACRE VENUE PROJECT
FREE - FREE - FREE - FREE - FREE
The contributor’s meeting will start at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 19th and last until Sunday, April 20th, 2008. We will meet at Mac Court at the University of Oregon on 18th and University Street. From there you will be given a short briefing of our project ideas and directions to the 20-acre venue. You will be able to leave your car parked at Mac Court for free to carpool, or drive yourself if you feel more comfortable. The venue is approximately a 20 minute drive from UO and you must drive up steep, rugged terrain to enter. Once at the venue you will be treated to:
FREE TOUR OF THE PROPERTY – BONFIRE - LIVE MUSIC FIRE DANCING – ALL NIGHT CAMPING THE WONDERS OF THE OUTDOORS AND AN EXPRESSIVE, ARTISTIC COMMUNITY!
SAT 4-19 AT 2PM UNTIL SUN 4-20! Come for all or part please RSVP to Tyler Macklin at Venueproject@hotmail.com

I really really really want to come to Eugene! Caution: I've been known to strat butt-nekked foot races and make poets get naked and jump in swimming pools...LOL...(seriously)
I just went to your guys'es main website and found out that you added an extra "summer" date to the open mic reading at the wandering goat coffee shop on Sept. 29th. You guys just made me sooooo happy that I may just go outside and hug a tree..... ...... but I guess thats not too hard to make me do.... ..... not that its a bad thing..... ..... I hope:( ......(pssssst, you should add this lil' bit of info to your myspace page. also, since this reading is a summer thingie, read the line that follows) Woo Hoo for Indian Summer! This is what John Bradbury had to say about Indian Summer in 1817
"The air is perfectly quiescent and all is stillness, as if Nature, after her exertions during the Summer, were now at rest."
