About me: I'm Barry, I'm 28 years old and I used to live in the lovely North East town of Gateshead (Gatesheed in the local dialect) before I moved up to Northumberland.

I am currently working as an administration assistant for a local doctors.
Outside of work, I am a volunteer and presenter for Newcastle's first ever full time community radio station NE1 FM (www.ne1fm.com). I present AlterNation with Barry Wilson, Monday's at 7pm, the ultimate selection of unsigned bands, lesser known talent and the best alternative music from the last few decades.
I love discovering unsigned and not that well known bands. Not because I want to be "more alternative than thou", but more because I believe that there is a heck of a lot of untapped musical talent out there.
We've had confirmed listeners all over the world, on one occasion AlterNation was played out in a tattoo shop in Virginia USA!
