We have several Community Services and Crime Prevention Programs available for our citizens.
Neighborhood Watch Program:
A joint effort between citizens and their Police Department to educate participants on crime deterrence and recognition. An active program can lower the crime rate and improve the quality of life in your community.
Citizen Police Academy:
Offered to any citizen who resides or owns a business in the City of Euless. A twelve-week program designed to educate participants in the internal structure and procedures of the Police Department. Graduates are then eligible to become members of the Alumni Association (CPAAA) who supports the Police Department in many ways throughout the year.
Citizens on Patrol:
Graduates of the Citizens Police Academy are also eligible to participate in the COPS program after completing a short training course. COPS patrol in our neighborhoods and act as an extra set of "eyes and ears" for their Police Department.
Town Hall Meetings:
Annually your Euless Police Department facilitates several community meetings bringing together citizens and all departments of city government.
Home/Commercial Inspections:
Home and business owners are eligible for a free property security inspection. This inspection educates the property owner in methods of lessoning their chances of being a crime victim and possibly reducing their insurance premiums.
Police Activities League:
A summer program designed and ran by Police Officers for children ages 10-12 that focuses on team/group activities.
H.E.A.T.:
Help End Auto Theft is a statewide program targeted at reducing auto theft. HEAT registrations take just a few minutes and are entered into a state-shared computer database. If an officer identifies a vehicle traveling between the hours of 1:00 am and 5:00 am, the vehicle will be stopped to insure that it has not been stolen. Vehicles are also detained at all border crossings.
CAME:
Concerned Apartment Managers of Euless focuses on bringing apartment communities and their concerns together on a monthly basis to discuss issues with one another and their Police Department. All apartment managers are eligible to join and are encouraged to do so.
Bicycle Registration:
Citizens are encouraged to register their bicycles with the City of Euless. If a bicycle is lost or stolen it can easily be identified and returned to its owner through the serial number and/or the registration number.
Bicycle Safety Program:
A presentation written by the Department of Transportation emphasizing important safety points and laws pertaining to bicycles and their riders. Officers stress the importance of wearing a helmet and obeying traffic laws.
Child Safety Seat Inspection:
An inspection of the vehicle's child/infant seat is performed focusing on proper installation and positioning in the vehicle. Recommendations are made and the latest laws pertaining to child restraints are reviewed.
Public Presentations:
Numerous presentations are available for any organization interested in learning more about crime, crime prevention, and various other topics.

Stranger Danger:
A presentation for younger kids emphasizing important safety rules that should be followed anytime the child is confronted by a stranger on the phone or in person.
Netsmartz:
An internet safety program presented to kids off all ages from elementary to high school explaining the dangers of the internet and the predators they can encounter.
"Every 15 Minutes":
The joint effort of several agencies in a mock drunk driver accident at the local high school to emphasize the dangers of drinking and driving.
