PASSE MONTAGNE Since 2004, a new band hides in Nantes [France]. Project which has existed at the origin only for a couple of shows, the band played without existing or the reverse. Until there, nothing abnormal. A recording carried out in the urgency in 2004. Until there normal too. In September 2005, the group initially duet became trio and it is where the things took another turning. The universe of Passe Montagne takes form [around Julien Fernandez, drummer of Chevreuil] and meet of these 3 keen musicians give place to a true unchained explosion... The music of Passe Montagne is, at the same time, unstable, slightly scientific and broken. One thinks of an improbable meeting between the rock band Shellac and Captain Beefheart. Some appreciating Brainiac, US Maple, Jesus Lizard will find bits of these old masters. They've just release a 7" single on EUPHRATE Rds, and their first album on RUMINANCE Rds.
