The EUROBLAST FESTIVAL is a concept festival, which was created by “The Euroblast Collective”, a Cologne based management-, booking-, and event- collective. John Giulio Sprich and Daniel Schneider founded the business in 2008. In the last couple of years Djent and Progressive Metal styles have developed into a serious trend. This is reflected by the increasing number of signed bands and new strategies employed by influential record labels. In response to the trend, the EUROBLAST FESTIVAL has dedicated themselves to showcasing rising and established talent, giving these artists not only an outlet to present their music to a broader audience, but also to meet and perform with peers from all over the world. The festival considers itself a platform, inviting fans, musicians, media and the industry to socialize and to foster valuable relationships. As a result it is has become the premier event dedicated to the Djent-Prog-Tech Metal sector. The fact that people from more than 30 countries (including Australia, Malaysia, Mexico, Venezuela, and Israel among others) traveled to Cologne to attend the event in 2011, points to the international relevance of the Euroblast Festival and to the notably high fan involvement. Now in its 8th edition, this event has truly developed into a convention for artistic and intercultural dialogue. The EUROBLAST FESTIVAL 2012 edition once again takes place in Cologne, Germany and boasts more than 40 artists from 19 countries, spanning over 4 days and 3 stages. The Euroblast Collective aims to sell 1500 tickets, signifying an increase of more than 100 percent, in comparison to the event in 2011 which sold out at 650 tickets. In addition to this year's festival, a 28-date European "Euroblast Tour" has been booked to celebrate the festival, the brand and its vision. The “Euroblast Tour” is estimated to reach 13.000 fans in 16 countries. The tour is scheduled to start in mid-October, stopover at the Euroblast Festival in Cologne from 19th – 21st October and move on until mid-November.

This is where artists and audience meet like-minded people and broaden their horizon. There is no musical border; just intense sound. Professional equipment, a stunning light show, drink specials, sexy girls serving fruits on ice and lots of bad ass bands make it an unforgettable event!
