The singer David Star and rapper Power Psycho Ninja met for the first time at Hultsfredsfestivalen in 2004. The young men found that they had many mutual interests - such as beers, guitars and euro disco.
The first night at the festival they formed The Euro Disco Project Club Band Experience and performed in the camping area with songs like Culture Beat's "Mr Vain" and E-Type's "Set The World On Fire".
The group's first (and until-then biggest) fan Markus The Soup Nazi helped The Euro Disco Project Club Band Experience gain popularity quicker by giving away free soup two meters away from the groups performances (the classic "Söppeköket").
The last night at the festival things got crazy as spectators tried to put The Euro Disco Project Club Band Experience on fire. Fortunately, they failed, and went on to create a Samba Riot throughout the festival area instead.
The band members were, of course, shocked by the incident, and didn't performed together for more than a year afterwards.
The next Euro Disco occasion was on the Roskilde festival the following year. The band, this time together with backup vocalists Sami Mojo, Foxy Tove and Olof, extended their reportoire to include some of 2 Unlimited's and Pandora's greatest hits.
They performed live in the Estrella tent and almost won a new guitar.
Later the same year the band recorded "Mr Vain" in David Star's home studio. Sami Mojo took the band's typical sound to a new level by introducing the kazoo to the song. The bass on the recording was originally played by Funky Fred (or maybe Funky Fritz, no one seems to be 100% certain about his stage name).
However, it is now 2007, and the accoustic euro techno is hotter than ever.
Therefore EDPCBE decided to record a new hit, "Trust Me", make a video and then take the big step to publish their first two hits online.
May there be many more to come.
