Eva Christie is a Perth based vocalist and saxophonist who specialises in the emotive delivery of heartrending songs in both English and Gaelic, generating what is, essentially, an amalgamation of traditional and contemporary sounds. Currently unsigned, she has a strong local following, as well as in the Falkirk area.
Eva has a varied and interesting musical background. Her mother played classical guitar while her children were in their junior years, while her father played the role of taxi service and paid (heavily) for musical equipment and tuition. She grew up on a diet of Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, interspersed with the music of the times. Norman (Eva’s brother) shares her passion for music and currently lends his drumming talents to the Fakes and Insulting Malcolm.
During her many years in music performance, Eva sites her highlights as performing at the Glastonbury Festival, Earls Court and Bannockburn. A lot of hard work was involved on the way and she grafted within the full range of musical opportunities that were presented to her at Hermitage Academy, Helensburgh, before eventually representing her school at a national level with the West of Scotland Schools Concert Band and Na Smeòraichan (Hermitage Academy’s Premier Gaelic Choir), as well as securing 2nd place in the Soloist category at the 1997 Royal Naval Volunteer Band Festival in Portsmouth. She has had the privilege to have had 2 years tuitions from the celebrated saxophonist Tim Barella and advice from the internationally renowned Tommy Smith.
Eva graduated with a BA in Music Performance from Perth College at the age of 20 and has since performed at a variety of festivals (including Dougie MacLean’s Perthshire Amber) and with several notable solo artists and bands (Owen Nicholson of Southpaw, Brian Hurren of Runrig, Lawrie Macmillan, Ross Ainslie, Dougie MacLean, Rock, Salt and Nails, the list goes on).

Out of the museum-and-gallery (Wiser on Cookson and the local way), Down Ocean Road with, to the right of me, Its eateries and, left, neat places to stay; Before, on either side, Marine Parks - The southern-one a most beautiful place, Teeming with moorhens, swans, grebes and mallards In a small lake at a scenic-hill’s base.
Then (holding chips from the parade’s cafe And, thus, a flock of gulls squawking above) Onto the South Pier I made my way: Seeing seaweed over rocks - like a glove - And high-and-dry sands held from transgression By growth of grass and the weaving of wood, Plus, in the dim light of a sleepy sun, Fishing boats returning to Tynemouth’s hood.
We used to be called "Mumrik" that was looking for a singer and now we finally found a singer and the band name became STM since we are working together at a distance of 6000miles from Leeds, UK to Kyoto, Japan. We have uploaded 3 songs now. Check out how it works.

As gospellers have said, Beneath signalling skies, On land dusty to tread, A trough in a stable Was the strawy first-bed Of a divine baby - The forgiving Godhead.
A season for new hope - There then and here now; The yuletide of goodwill - There then and here now.
In respect of this chance, Beneath bright or dark skies, Faith's the star that we glance Attending Christ's churches And trying to enhance, With singing and ritual, Our God-loving stance.

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
"the law of the strong: this is our law and the joy of the world." AL. II. 2
"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law." --AL. I. 40
"thou hast no right but to do thy will. Do that, and no other shall say nay." --AL. I. 42-3
"Every man and every woman is a star." --AL. I. 3
There is no god but man.
1. Man has the right to live by his own law-- to live in the way that he wills to do: to work as he will: to play as he will: to rest as he will: to die when and how he will. 2. Man has the right to eat what he will: to drink what he will: to dwell where he will: to move as he will on the face of the earth. 3. Man has the right to think what he will: to speak what he will: to write what he will: to draw, paint, carve, etch, mould, build as he will: to dress as he will. 4. Man has the right to love as he will:-- "take your fill and will of love as ye will, when, where, and with whom ye will." --AL. I. 51 5. Man has the right to kill those who would thwart these rights. "the slaves shall serve." --AL. II. 58
