..I was thinking about Sweden today.. We began recording this album last Summer in a studio in a pretty little corner of Sweden in Trosa. We had 9 days, a broken double bass, a broken piano, a couple of broken microphones..and an engineer called Hans who never quite understood exactly what we meant. He was very big.
..There were a catalogue of disasters and although it was all entirely out of our control, we somehow believed that it would be ok. Darren cooked delicious food for us all, We would battle it out with Hans and I would try not to cry. I lived in a little hut with hearts on the shutters and it was the sweetest place I'd ever seen. My bed would swallow me up every night and I would think about how it would feel when it was finished..
..
..I have been on a journey with this album and I wish I had begun writing back then. I feel so proud. Of all of us.
..Despite all the difficulties, I did become quite good at frisbee.

Dear Eva,
You have stunned me with your voice. I came to see you at Pizza on the Park in London and you amazed me - your sound was so beautiful, captivating. You made me cry, and it made me so happy.
Your sound is like nothing I have ever heard. I cannot compare it to anything. Not ever have I been moved to tears by music or a girl such as you. You are an inspiration. Don't ever stop Eva, you make the world a better place and I feel blessed to have seen you perform before the rest of the world makes you their own.
Thank you,
Marie
