About Left In The Lurch

Hi, my name is Evan Welborn and this is my solo project. I grew up in Whittier, CA and now reside in Valley Center, CA. I've been in and out of many bands. I starting out (like everyone else in the world) by playing guitar in the winter of 94'. After about 5 years of playing guitar and unable to find a drummer that could fit my ideas and needs, i went out and got my first kit ($100), after banging around for a while i found out that percussion was my true calling in the music world. Playing for the next 8 years would be (so far) the highlight of my music career. Playing with Ian Jennings for Logastellus and also for Avidity at venues such as: The Glass House, The Roxy, The Whisky and Chain Reaction and playing along side of bands like: Diecast, 3 inches of Blood, Himsa, Sinai Beach, Gatekeeper and Stealth. It was great fun and all, but i have always wanted to do a solo project (everything my way). So after moving out of LA and into San Diego's most desolate............ push came to shove!!!

Now leading into 2008 i have rounded up enough stuff to put out a full demo (6 songs) to my standards. Keep in mind my songs are extremely FAST (277bpm - 475bpm) and QUICK (about 30 seconds - 2 minutes). With the help of my good friend Chris Araiza's recording equipment my ideas have become physical mind numbing noise.
