Television
Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Wild Wild West (purge the atrocious Will Smith movie version of this 60's TV show from your mind). Greatest American Hero. Six Feet Under. Dead Like Me. It is worse to be irresolute than to be wrong. -William Strunk, Jr.
About me: I am both a particle and a wave. The things which allow me to go on despite my indeterminate state include: Inklings. Knights Templar. Good beer. Gorillaz. Cats, dogs, and other animals we pretend we own. Charles Williams. Macintosh (the Apple, not the apple). Dungeons and Dragons. Anglican spirituality. Really good beer (Lake Louie rules and sad, sad tidings to those of you who love beer and do not live in central Wisconsin). The OED. NPR. iPod as a means of feeding audiobook addiction. Intense physical intimacy that you can still taste on your tongue the next day. Thomas Cahill. My cat is cuter than your cat. Sarah Vowell and Tina Fey are the sexiest women alive--except for whatever woman I'm talking to at the moment. Everyone should call Van Morrison "Uncle Van" and stop listening to anything he's recorded since some yet to be determined point in the 1980's. No, really, my cat has been scientifically proven to be the cutest cat in the known universe. If beatification existed in the church of the mind, Jim Henson would be a saint. The only thing better than learning is teaching, and the only thing better than teaching is learning. Paradox is an essential part of the mind of a person who is both sane and paying attention. The best poetry the romantic poets ever wrote was about how they could no longer write poetry. Dancing is best done with eyes closed and a sixth sense among the flailing bodies on the dace floor that allows them to avoid collision. The soul is here for its own joy, the mind for loving a true love... mysteries are not meant to be solved, the eye goes blind when it only wants to see why. I plagiarized that last bit.
Is Graveyard Book the one with the poem? If you own it, can I borrow it when your done? I know I haven't finished the other one...but...ummm...Gaiman's easier to read than DFW. And I need to find my stupid bifocals. Maybe he'll win the Pulitzer one day. Not sure about the Nobel but that'd be awfully cool. Or maybe you'll win it with your mad writing skills.
What book is that in? I like it. It's good advice for real life too. maybe i'll listen to it again in a minute because i'm off to hang out with sandman....I'll need his poem.
new album: "journey through an electric garden" will be released on 27/10/08 it will be available as a digital release only on juno records.. again thank u all for the kind comments and messages hope this album will do a little better then the first one...
I read so much faster than I could listen that I don't usually do the audio book thing (nice when moving long distances though), but it is good to hear that they did Soon I Will Be Invincible right. I will tell some of my non-reading pals to encourage them to digest it somehow. Thanks :-)
haha...that would be awesome if it were part of the new POS system, but i was updating it from my laptop. i brought it to work. you'll also find me updating it from my phone, as i have a smart phone.
