In the tradition of Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Tommy, Evel Knievel The Rock Opera features bold-staging, mind-blowing special effects and great original music in the spirit of 70's classic rock!
The story follows Evel on his journey from his struggling early days as a copper miner in Butte, Montana to his triumphant arrival on the World Stage as the Greatest Motorcycle Daredevil of All Time.
Audiences for Evel Knievel The Rock Opera experience a full-tilt thrill-ride as they enter Evel's world and ride along with him and witness the full spectacle of his life:
The pure adrenaline rush of his jumps
The fateful love of his devoted wife
The trust of close friends - the betrayal by others
His charismatic control of the media
His struggle against the intoxication of corporate power
Thanks for adding me! I lived in Butte until the age of 8. My mom dated Evel's brother Nic when they were teens. my brother, sister in law and I just found out on a tour of the old Butte jail this past summer that my sister in law's uncle was one of the officers who arrested him in 1956 that led to him being given the name "Evel".
The show is FANTASTIC! Music had me dancing & the lyrics had me singing along, & the performers are TOP NOTCH! Keep me posted on the evolution.... Sincerely, your FRIEND & FAN in Vegas!
Thanx for the add..........always loved him.......when I was a kid he was better than any other sports personality......there'll never be another like him......one of a kind......Klaatu Barada Nikto !
It is really something special that Evel's friends who saw the show reported back to him that the rock opera was "fantastic". So Evel knew just what a great job you all did before he passed away. RIP Evel...
