EVENTIDE HORIZON OFFICIAL BIOGRAPHY (1996-2004) Eventide horizon was officially formed by 2 old friends name alwi (guitar) and jamil(drum) who wanted to created a heavy metal band . Later they invited Zam to play bass guitar. then Ezd joined the band as vocalist . At the time they played various cover song s from KATATONIA, PARADISE LOST, SENTENCED, IRON MAIDEN, old THERION, AMORPHIS, and e.t.c. After couple of months, they started to compose their own songs. In year 1997 they entered studio to record their 1st rehearsal tape . The tape contains 3 songs of gothic heavy metal. In the recording session, they invited SHBS from ZUBIRUN (Malaysian Aggresiveasterngrindattack) as backing vocal for the demo. the demo never spread to thr scene due to bad quality , but the demo only given to their friends. After recording the demo, they invited Apex (their old friend) to play lead guitarist in the band. They started to compose their new song and they entered SZ STUDIO in Ipoh (Our Heart State) to record their debut demo entitled ANGEL'S EMOTION. The demo contains 3 track of gothic heavy metal with the heaviest influences from SENTENCED, DARKSEED, THERION, IRON MAIDEN, and e.t.c. With the demo, they started creating their name in Malaysian undergroung scene....The demo also appreciated by a local listeners, fanzine especially METAL TERUS fanzine, compilation tape , e.t.c. The line up in the recording is: EZD-VOCALIST & LYRICS APEX-LEAD & RHYTHM GUITAR ALWI- LEAD & RHYTHM GUITAR ZAM-BASS GUITAR JAMIL- DRUM EVENTIDE HORIZON became bigger after in promoting the demo. They also played at 2 gigs in their state. Their 1st gig was in Taiping (their local hometown) with HELOISA, ZUBIRUN, DAWN PHENOMENA, etc. and their 2st gig was in ipoh (their local heartstate) with NECROTIC CHAOS, ATHOTORGH, PYRON, SADOTICAL SCOUNDREL etc. After the show they were not active anymore due to busyness with daily jobs and studies. After 3 years in silence, EVENTIDE HORIZON now finally disband after some of them living the band. Apex and Zam the band due their studies at local university. ALWI LEAVE the band and play with VIOLATOR (Malaysian thrash metal band), Ezd also leave the band and only Jamil still in the band. Before the band disband, their place record the new tracks but didn't release................... In early 2004, NIGHTART PRODUCTION, the label was handle by Akhmasz(VIOLATOR) re-released their old demo entitled REHEARSAL 97/98 WITH bonus track WHITE WIDDING (BILLY IDOL cover) and limited for 50 copies only, aand the latest, their long awaited stuff before disband entitled 6'3 EP CD-R.
