New Jersey native Eve Orenstein received her BM from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and an MM from Manhattan School of Music. In the 2006-2007 season, Eve sang the role of Marcellina in Le Nozze di Figaro with Project Opera Manhattan and with New York Metro Vocal Arts Ensemble. She appeared in the world premiere of An Angel in the Park with Garden State Opera, covered Ma Moss and sang Mrs. Splinters in the Bronx Opera’s production of Aaron Copland’s The Tender Land, and performed as Madame Flora(Baba) in Menotti’s The Medium with Opera Company of Brooklyn. In May she covered the role of Mere Marie in Poulenc’s The Dialogues of the Carmelites at the Cathedral Basilica in Newark, NJ. Eve has previously performed roles with Dicapo Opera Theater, One World Symphony, and Liederkranz Opera Theatre. In Spring 2007, Eve will be a member of Opera Colorado’s Outreach Ensemble, performing the lead role in La Curandera and Tisbe in Cenerentola.
