Hi I am Tawny and I've been singing and writing Christian songs my whole life.
The band consists of myself; vocals/songwriting, Joel; guitar, vocal/songwriting/producer and we are looking for a keyboard player......
Praying God brings together the rest of our band. For His Glory!!
Influences
Wow the list of influences in my life are vast and cannot really tell you how and why I sing but here it is...........Patsy Cline, Elvis, Silvia, Crystal Gail, The Judds, Barbra Mandrel, Aundray Crouch, Sandy Patty,Sarah Groves, Nicole C. Mullen, Vicky Yohi, The Gathers, The Beegees, Bonny Rait..... Amy Grant, Petra, Kathy Troccoli, Twila Paris, Randy Travis, Vince Gill, Patty Loveless, Ray Bolts.......... There are just so many. Raised mostly in Tulsa Oklahoma, if you've ever been through there the Christian radio stations are abundant.
Sounds Like
Blues, country, soft Rock, contemporary, I have written quite a few songs and there is a variety.
I have been singing my whole life. Writing songs and singing to my Father in Heaven has kept me alive.. God gave me my first song in a dream when I was 16 to let me know that He had a plan and purpose for me and that "He" was there with me.
I was raised in the Mormon church and am now a set free, born again, totally in love with Jesus, blessed, believer.
After being abused in every way you can think of God has put it in my heart to minister in music and word, to all the hurting, broken, beaten down and lied to, children of His.
God has given me several songs since then. A lot of people ask me "What is your style?" or "Who do you sound like?" But I will tell you this, the songs God has given me will "AFFECT" you.....and I pray they will affect you for the rest of your life with a message your Father in heaven meant especially for you........................And "Those who are forgiven much, Love Much"!! The greatest commandments of all To Love God with all your heart and soul and to love your neighbor as yourself.
We will be sharing that the love of God surpasses all things past, present and future and that we are His Children forever. God has made all of us eternal souls, no matter our destination the only difference is where you spend eternity.

A word spoken harshly can damage a soul, but a whisper to the heart of hearts prepares the garden sewn. Thoughts are planted deep, there to remain, until with tender care this garden is maintained. I come with living water to nourish what is true. You are precious and beautiful- there’s nothing you cannot do. I raise the banner high and plant it in the ground. This is my dear friend through searching I have found. Amazing talent, your season to bloom. Now to flourish in all that you do.
Can I take you to a place for just a little while, created just for you, in hopes of painting a smile? Perhaps you didn’t know you’ve been here before, countless times you’ve walked through this door. Come on! It’s not far from here. It’s closer than you think, my dear. I remember the first time you visited this place. I remember awe and wonder glowing from your face. I remember the giggle that escaped your lips as you danced across the path. I remember the sparkle in your eye when you tilted your head and laughed. And did I see a tear? Yes, a tear rolled down your cheek. I still have it here, collected in my heart to keep. So here we are now, this place built just for you, to remind you how precious I treasure all the special things that make you, you.
Hey Tawny...Just thought I would share a my testimony vid with you that Joyce Meyers filmed in 7/06. I just know got around to loading in onto myspace. xox
A smile, a whisper, the light of your eye, which carries me to far away places at the speed of light. A hug, a dance, a touch of grace, which holds me in wonder all by the look on your face. A precious place it is indeed, the heart of my friend who smiles at me. I wrapped my arms around this beating heart and its beat was true, flowing richly with all those special ingredients that make you, you. Splash your many colors on the canvas of my soul enriching it deeply with each act of kindness shown. Listen to my laughter, for happy I will be, each and every time you reach out to me. I love you my friend.
On the far reef the breakers Recoil in shattered form, Yet still the sea behind them Urges its forces home; Its chant of triumph surges Through all the thunderous din The wave may break in failure, But the tide is sure to win.
O mighty sea, thy message In changing spray is cast; Within God's plans of progress It matters not at last How wide the shores of evil, How strong the reefs of sin The wave may be defeated, But the tide is sure to win.
Hey Tawny...I've had your song on my profile since the day I heard it! I really love it! You have such a beautiful voice and are so gifted! Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment on my page. Love and blessings to you...Dianne xoxo
Blessed [is] every one who fears the LORD, Who walks in His ways. Ps 128:1
Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. Ps 50:15
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Ps 18:2
For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. Ps 27:5
For You [are] my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name's sake, Lead me and guide me. Ps 31:3
I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, [And] established my steps. Ps 40
Hear my cry, O God; Attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah Ps 61:1-4
Hoping you have a wonderful week Tawny! Love and blessings to you...Dianne xoxo
A virtuous wife (and mother) is worth more than precious rubies. She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs with no fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and kindness is the rule when she gives instructions. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her. "There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!" Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly delare her praise. prov 31:10,25-26, 28-31
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TAWNY...LOVE TO YOU...DIANNE XOX
Passion Prayer
I only have one chance to get this right. There is but a moment when my canvas is white.
I hold my easel with paints from every emotion. The dark colors are angry and best to be avoided. The cool colors are lazy like a warm summer breeze. But there is one color and it sits in the middle of my easel. I hear it screaming every time I start a new day. It’s the color of passion. It’s the color of my heart when the breath of life mixes with the blood of my bones. It’s in the tears I shed. It’s the color red. Remind me to use it liberally with every brush stroke, to cover everything I do. On my canvas the colors blend in shades of honor and lines of shame. Without a generous portion of passion the edges are never made smooth and the lines wont fade away. O’ help me to always start with a little red and on to honor my soul is fed. I only have one chance today to get this right. Thank You for Your mercy and Your light.

In the shop of a blacksmith, there are three types of tools. There are tools on the junkpile: outdated, broken, dull, rusty. They sit in the cobwebbed corner, usless to their master, oblivious to their calling.
There are tools on the anvil: melted down, molten hot, moldable, changeable. They lie on the anvil, being shaped by their master, accepting their calling.
There are tools of usefulness: sharpened, primed, defined, mobile. They lie ready in the blacksmith's tool chest, available to their master, fulfilling their calling.
Some people lie useless: lives broken, talents wasting, fires quenched, dreams dashed. They are tossed in with the scrap iron, in desperate need of repair, with no notion of purpose.
Others lie on the anvil: hearts open, hungry to change, wounds healing, visions clearing. They welcome the painful pounding of the blacksmith's hammer, longing to be rebuilt, begging to be called.
Others lie in their Master's hands: well tuned, uncompromising, polished, productive. They respond to their Master's forearm, demanding nothing, surrendering all.
Come sup with God all you who thirst, all you who hunger, be the first. Feast on Christ's body and his blood; O taste and see this meal of love.
Come children, elders, blind, and spent; come foolish, able, and indigent. Confess, repent, and then receive; forgiveness flows abundantly.
Come often, friend, for here is grace made manifest in time and place. Christ's mercy floods our brokenness with healing balm and righteousness.
Come to be changed. Come to be fed. Come savor Christ, the Life , the Bread. Drink deep the gift of healing poured, to leave as vessel of our Lord.
Sing praise to Christ, our host and meal whose saving work provides the seal for us once bound, now freed from death to live for Christ with every breath.
