I love the Great Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, TN. My favorite entertainment is going to the movies. I like hot chocolate with marshmallows, ice-cream sundaes, and popcorn. I enjoy entertaining and settting a beautiful table. I love to exercise, mostly in a group setting. Cycling and Zumba are my top ones. I like relaxing by a fire and reading, but I don't have a working fireplace right now. I'm happiest when my family is all together. <br /
Music
I love music of most any genre, except heavy metal, but in particular I like Praise and Worship. Hillsong and Chris Tomlin are my favorites.
Movies
All the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, or is it just Johnny Depp! In Pursuit of Happiness, Christmas Vacation, The Wedding Planner (wonder why?), all Julia Roberts movies, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Wild Hogs, Space Cowboys, The Count of Monte Cristo, Gone With the Wind, The Sound of Music, many, many more! "Oceans 13".
Television
Don't watch much TV, but I like Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, and Grey's Anatomy.
Heroes
My parents are my heroes. They raised six children with very little money or material possessions and taught us to love God with our whole heart, to set goals and never give up until we achieved them, and to forgive one another. They also taught us the art of hospitality- to make people feel welcome in our home, and to extend a hand to those in need. They taught us how to love unselfishly and to not hold grudges. We also learned that a single chicken can feed eight people and that we were to be thankful for it. We learned how to laugh and how to cry and that everybody needs a little vacation every now and then.
About me: I thought it was about time to change my profile, since I hadn't posted anything new on it in a couple of years.
I like to meet interesting people. It's fascinating to listen to them tell about their life, and all the things they have experienced.
I am a freelance writer and author. My first published book will be out in December, and I have four more in the works.
I'm an observer of life and that is what I like to write about.
You can check out my first book at http://www.99-series.com. "99 Things You Wish You Knew Before You Planned Your Wedding" is a must-have handbook for brides. It's full of money saving tips, humorous stories, and advice.
I have recently retired from teaching group fitness for over twenty years. I will miss it, but plan to stay in shape. It's time to achieve new goals, and dream new dreams.
My daughter and I also have a wedding and event design business, http://www.pamelaseventdesign.com. If you like to read blogs, I have http://www.homespunhighlights.wordpress.com, http://www.idoweddings.wordpress.com, and http://www.archerfitpress.wordpress.com
Who I'd like to meet: I would like to meet and visit wih any of my "Friends".

I hope you are having a nice week so far and have a great weekend. My arm is much better now that I'm on medication. I'm slowly getting caught up on my messages and looking at all my nice comments. I'm slowly getting the hang of how to send comments out the new way, but don't be surprised if you get a second one. I just have to remember who I sent a comment to as you can't see the photo. (Short memory--LOL. )
The smell of roses and chocolates abound. Friends become lovers you see all around. They’re holding hands and walking about It shows in their faces, sometimes a shout.
So with all the pretty colors, red and pink bring us all to remember and all to think. We one day fell in love and made plans, excited, we went together hand in hand.
Valentine cards come with wishes sweet. We dance a little jig, swirling on our feet. Our hearts are encouraged, thoughts rise as we thank our dear Father up in the skies.
Be my Valentine is what I wanted to say to the one who would give his heart I pray. Forever is a long time that is so very clear but there is one out there, I can call dear.
This is what our trees look like in our backyard with lots of ice on branches, broken branches, and lots of snow on the ground. I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere. I can just sit here and watch it snow. It is really coming down now. Sometimes the snowflakes are quite large. You can't even see our dog Scout's path to the backyard since it's been snowing so much. She will have to make a new one. All the schools here in central Ohio are closed--yesterday and today. Hope you are having a nice Wednesday.
I hope you are having a good week so far. It's still cold here in central Ohio only 16 out. I never went to bed on Monday--stayed up and watched Fox & Friends covering of the inauguration. I fell asleep during the parade and missed the OSU marching band!! Woke up, watched coverage of balls and then fell asleep then until 5p.m. on WEDNESDAY!!!!
I thought you might like to see how long my hair is getting--almost time to cut for Locks of Love.
Hope you have a great weekend. Yesterday we got about 6 inches of snow and all the schools are closed on Thursday and on Friday too when the wind chill is expected to be -10 to -20. I love watching it snow but am glad I don't have to go anywhere. Jim and I baked cookies together. He loves oatmeal raisin and I love chocolate chips. Stay safe and warm if you have snow/cold weather. I envy you if you live in the south or where you have beautiful, sunny, warm weather!!
